Internal Turmoil of the Plastic Kind

Well Hello Dolly

This follows two models having a bit of a bitchy conversation where one points out to the other that her mouth isn't moving and the other one replying that neither is hers " Too much botox darling " . Have I mentioned yet that they're both Barbie dolls " Oh F-ck " !

It's slightly difficult to understand what this stop frame animation story is trying to make . Is it a satire of the modelling industry , or the female insecurity of self image , or the unique female character trait of being bitchy with ones peer group ? whatever it is it's fairly amusing seeing a couple of foul mouthed - And I emphasise foul mouthed dollies trying to get one over on each other with :

" I've got bulimia "

" Well I've got anorexia "

In many ways it resembles a plot less episode of ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS with Eddy and Patsy replaced with dolls .Recommended as inconsequential amusement

Amusing forgettable animation

Two women sit around in their home and bitch about others' youthful good looks, their botox jobs and their own fading beauty. Doesn't sound that interesting? Well, in this case they are more plastic than the usual rich trophy wife because they are both Barbie dolls in this basic but amusing animation. The material is all played for laughs for it isn't too clever or interesting but it works more or less as comedy. The only problem with the laughter is that this is a one-joke film so after about 15 seconds you've seen the gist of it apart from the odd bit of detail.

It is still amusing enough to be worth watching though and the animation, although jerky, is pretty good and adds to the humour. Not really worth hunting out though but amusing enough if you happen across it (or are from Mattel and looking to sue).
