Gumbuster

A streetcleaner hates gum littering the streets and picks it all up – but then he discovers a hidden talent the gum has – singing. It is a very strange idea and the delivery makes no more sense of it than that one sentence. The plot is meaningless but does allow for cute animation and comic invention, which is what this film is all about as a student piece. It shows the director's ability as an animator and allows her to lay out style. It looks a bit rough and there isn't much to it but that is to be expected if not forgiven. Worth seeing if you like animations on a student level but the casual viewer will probably wonder "what the f**k was that about?"
