Eddie Money Blown Away by Lax Employee's Singing Voice
Eddie Money
Eddie Money's no "American Idol" judge, but he damn sure knows a good voice when he hears one ... even at the airport. We got the "Two Tickets to Paradise" singer at Lax on Sunday when we introduced Eddie to Lax employee Tahjanae Johnson. We tell Eddie she's got a beautiful singing voice ... and Tahjanae wastes no time showcasing her chops. Ya gotta see Eddie -- who knows a thing or 2 about top 40 hits -- react to the impromptu audition.

iZombie The Complete Third Season Heads Home With Extra Brains
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Warner Archive Collection are bringing the magic of iZombie‘s Third Season home on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 3rd, 2017. All 13 Episodes are here, along with the 2016 Comic-Con Panel and some never-before-seen deleted scenes.

The CW hit still isn’t getting the attention it deserves, and that’s becoming even more infuriating for the show’s 2 million plus weekly viewers, because it’s getting even better every season. Not only is it diving into its characters and exploring a wide variety of themes, but it turns its own characters upside-down every once in a while, and Blaine’s season three spin is just the most glaring example.

You might have hoped for a bit more in the special feature department, but at least you are getting a few treats.

The CW‘s hit series, stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders,...

iZombie Season 3 Blu-Ray And DVD Release Date Revealed
Despite having three episodes yet to air at the time of this writing, I will still say with unwavering confidence that the third season of iZombie may very well be its strongest offering to date. Featuring an intricately plotted overarching narrative and compelling murder mysteries each week, this particular series has set itself apart from other DC TV shows insofar that it’s not about superheroes, but rather, seamlessly blends the horror, comedy and drama genres. In other words, it’s clever, it’s funny and may be one of the best things on TV.

This year, Liv Moore and the gang have had their hands full, to say the least. So, while lead actress Rose McIver continues to essentially play a new character with each episode (Liv’s consuming of brains allows her to take on the personality traits of murder victims, and to experience their memories), Clive has...

Olympic flick flashback: 'Cutting Edge' star D.B. Sweeney on toe picks, broken legs, and awful sequels
Tony Gilroy
In honor of the Sochi Games, PopWatch is taking a look back at a few of our favorite Winter Olympics-themed movies. First up: The Cutting Edge, the classic 1992 “hockey player meets figure skater” romantic comedy. We talked to star D.B. Sweeney — who played cocky ex-hockey star Doug Dorsey, opposite Moira Kelly’s snooty ice queen Kate Moseley — about the making of the film, the impossible physics of its climactic bounce-spin-throw (the “Pamchenko”), and its truly wretched sequels. Toe pick!

Entertainment Weekly: First of all: Do you resent people still asking you about The Cutting Edge?

D.B. Sweeney: No, it’s great.

Two tickets to paradise, please! Joe Francis' super-exclusive Mexican resort has been the vacation destination of choice for Hollywood's rich-and-famous -- and now Francis is opening the doors of Casa Aramara to other clientele, too. On Friday, March 8, the Girls Gone Wild entrepreneur announced that he had decided to make his Punta Mita estate available to rent. Previously, the 40,000-square-foot property was accessible only to those who had been personally invited by Francis himself. "Casa Aramara is one of the most luxurious private resort properties in the [...]...

Q&A: 'The Lion King' Lioness Moira Kelly
Moira Kelly has a warm, distinctive voice that "The Lion King" fans will instantly recognize as the voice of adult Nala. Kelly returned to voice Nala in two straight-to-video sequels and is excited to experience "The Lion King" in 3D with her own children in theaters before the highest-grossing hand-drawn animated film in history makes its Blu-ray debut.

Over the years, Kelly has made an impression in various TV and movie roles, such as figure skater Kate Moseley in the fan-favorite romantic comedy "The Cutting Edge." We sat down with Simba's main lioness and had a candid, "hakuna matata" chat with her about her own lion-like qualities, "The Lion King"'s enduring impact on her family, her prowess on ice skates and why David Lynch showed her dead things in his refrigerator.

After three films, what special connection do you have with Nala?

For me, it's just being able to...

'Happy Endings' Creator Talks Up New ABC Comedy
Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Damon Wayans Jr., Adam Pally, Casey Wilson, and Eliza Coupe in Happy Endings (2011)
For every sitcom about young friends hanging out, there seems to be another show about young friends hanging out, but David Caspe is hoping you give his new ABC show, "Happy Endings," a chance.

Premiering tonight on ABC, "Endings" kicks off with Alex (Elisha Cuthbert of "24") leaving her fiancé (Zachary Knighton) at the altar. Their closest friends (among them SNL alum, Casey Wilson, and Damon Wayans, Jr.) then have the uncomfortable task of choosing sides.

Caspe, the show's young creator, came to La in 2006 with a feature script in hand, and has since sold a few others, including an Adam Sandler vehicle currently in pre-production, I Hate You, Dad, about a father who moves in with his soon-to-be-married son.

We spoke to him about leaving behind a career as a visual artist, the limitations of network TV, and his first experience as a show-runner.

Before deciding to pursue writing you...

Grant Ellis in The Bachelor (2002)
Chris Harrison blogs 'The Bachelor' season premiere
Grant Ellis in The Bachelor (2002)
Welcome back! I’ve missed all of you. It’s hard to believe this is season 21 of The Bachelor/Bachelorette. That is an amazing run in network TV, and I want to thank you for making that happen. As you all know, we tried something a little different this season. For the first time in the show’s history, we brought back a Bachelor for a “do-over.” The reaction to Brad has been mixed; many of you were skeptical and some of you were even a little angry. I have to admit, I kind of like that. We’ve never...

Eddie Money Performs Hits and Honors Veterans During Concert at Chicago's House of Blues
It's just under thirty minutes to showtime and Eddie Money is backstage talking about the Chicago Bears' big win against Buffalo. He's also chatting up a young Marine who plans on proposing to his girl friend during the show. Band members Tommy Girvin (lead guitarist), Lee Beverly (bassist) and Chris Grove (keyboardist) are either warming up or chilling out with local friends and family, while drummer Glenn Symmonds slips on a black leather vest and fiddles with his trusty set of sticks. In the corner is Eddie's saxophone, which he picks up and starts playing just moments before he's called out to perform.. Places everyone. The crowd was beyond ready, yielding pictures, posters, and vintage albums as they prepared to welcome Eddie back . We caught Eddie's show last spring at a packed Cubby Bear North in suburban Chicago. This time, we join him at Chicago's famous House of Blues. He...

Exclusive Interview: Eddie Money
How does a former New York cop become one of the most successful rock 'n roll recording artists of two decades? Eddie Money can tell you firsthand. With over 18 million records sold, Eddie rocked the charts during the 70's and 80's with songs like Take Me Home, Shakin', Two Tickets To Paradise, Hold On, Think I'm In Love, Gimme Some Water, and Can't Keep a Good Man Down. As a singer, songwriter, and musician, Eddie has been dubbed "the hardest working man in show business" and "the blue-collar rocker." He's worked long and hard with some of the biggest names in the industry, and hasn't stopped for a New York second. With a current tour underway, he's drawing crowds once again, and working on getting his play Two Tickets to Paradise produced on Broadway. The show chronicles Eddie's life from his teen years through the late 70's when he burst onto the music scene.

Average Joes
D.B. Sweeney's road comedy Two Tickets to Paradise tracks a trio of beleaguered buddies (Sweeney, John C. McGinley, and Paul Hipp) who motor from small-town Pennsylvania to Florida to attend a college football bowl game. Considering the movie's blue-collar sensibilities, the term auteur might seem inappropriately highfalutin to describe Sweeney. But he clearly assumed such a role here — directing, co-writing, and producing. The actor (Eight Men Out, The Cutting Edge) had not originally planned to direct or produce. But he was interested in scripting a project for himself, and he enlisted friend Brian Currie, a bouncer-turned-scenarist, to help develop a story. Having spoken with firefighters and police officers in the wake of 9/11, Sweeney knew that many middle-aged working-class men were dissatisfied with the way they're portrayed onscreen. Citing the new film Zack and Miri Make a Porno, he says, "Seth Rogen is with this beautiful girl. The geeky guy...

Opening This Week: Docs on teens, tightropes and tradition

With blockbusters taking a week off after "The Dark Knight" so thoroughly conquered the box office and its core audience descends upon Comic-Con in San Diego, an outstanding array from the indie scene offers plenty of alternative viewing.

Burstein follows a cross section of Warsaw High's senior class for 10 months in pursuit of their respective ambitions and priorities, and discovers that bonding at the library during Saturday detention is no way to communicate when text messaging and Im can be just as intimate.

Opens in limited release.
