FAQ

Felicity - Une jeune fille indépendante

Felicity Merriman is a character from the American Girl product line of dolls, clothes, books, movies, and accessories that have been developed as a way of teaching history to young girls. Each character, usually a preteen, lives during a different time and in a different setting in America. Ten-year-old Felicity lives in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1775, just before the start of the American Revolution. Valerie Tripp is the author of the American Girl book series. The novel was adapted for the screen by Tripp and Canadian screenwriter Anna Sandor.

Topics that are touched upon in Felicity: An American Girl Adventure include Colonial America, taxation, the Boston Tea Party, and Loyalists versus Patriots, all coupled into a story about a girl's love for a horse.

Yes. Felicity: An American Girl Adventure is the second movie in a series of (so far) seven American Girl movies. It was preceded by Un voyage à New York (2004) (2004) and followed by Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front (2006) (2006), Kit Kittredge: journaliste en herbe (2008) (2008), An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong (2009) (2009) Graine de championne (2012) (2012), and Saige Paints the Sky (2013) (2013).

No. All filming took place in and around Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Exterior sets were shot just outside of Toronto at the Black Creek Pioneer Village, a 30+ acre historical village that features restored heritage homes, shops, and gardens typical of a community during the 1800s.
