When she first appeared as Ms. Casey on Apple TV+'s acclaimed sci-fi satire Severance, Dichen Lachman left quite an impression despite her limited screen time. To some viewers, it might have seemed like she appeared on the scene out of nowhere, as enigmatic and unknown as her character. But while Severance is clearly a big step in her career, Lachman has been appearing on screens large and small for decades, beginning in her home country of Australia with a role in the long-running soap opera Neighbours.
Lachman made her debut stateside in 2009 in Joss Whedon's short-lived series Dollhouse, followed by a run of guest spots on some of the biggest shows of the era. Her next main role would come in 2012, on another series that was canceled before its time, the political thriller series Last Resort. Following the tense aftermath of a US Navy submarine's refusal to fire ballistic missiles at Pakistan,...

Scott Foley has signed on to star and executive produce It’s Not Like That, a faith based drama at Prime Video, Deadline has confirmed. It’s Not Like That, from Wonder Project, was given a cast-contingent series order at Prime Video in November and Foley’s casting now lifts that contingency.
Foley will play the series regular role of Malcolm, a minister and recent widow.
Per the logline, It’s Not Like That follows Lori, who is freshly divorced with two teens. Malcolm’s a minister and recently widowed dad of three. Their families once did everything together, but now Lori and Malcolm must navigate their newly minted singledom, parenthood and the complexities of Malcolm being a modern-day minister. Is this the beginning of a love story? It’s not like that. Or is it?
The series comes from Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, who created the series and serve as showrunners.

The phrase “quiet on the set” was stretched to the limit during the upbeat shoot of La Dolce Villawhen director Mark Waters (Mean Girls) had to ask his costars gently but firmly to, well, pipe down. Scott Foley (Scandal) and Maia Reficco (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), who play father and daughter in the heartwarming Netflix original comedy, bonded so well on set that they had trouble dialing down the banter and laughs. “Look,” Foley noted with a smile in a recent MovieWeb interview, “it's not that we're unprofessional, right? I just want to get that out of the way right now.” He added:
“It’s important to develop a rapport with whoever you're working with, and each relationship is different. And playing the father to this daughter, I thought it was important that we have a shorthand, that there was sort of inside jokes that we had. We very...

Exclusive: Scott Foley has joined the cast of Scream 7 from Spyglass and Paramount Pictures.
Details regarding his character and the film’s plot are currently under wraps. However, Foley is already part of the Scream universe having portrayed antagonist Roman Bridger, the film director and half-brother of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) who was revealed to be the Ghostface Killer of Scream 3.
Foley’s casting comes with its own set of questions because Roman was killed by Dewey (David Arquette) at Sidney’s request. Roman has faked his own death before so it’s plausible that he could reprise the role in the present or perhaps in flashback form in the past if he is deceased. Could Roman have a long-lost twin? This is Scream after all, so if he returns as a ghost (face killer?) or a zombie, it would not shock most.

Plot: Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent , Peter Sutherland, whose efforts to save The President in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2. But working in the secretive organization of Night Action will propel Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.

Days of Our Lives fans have heard the name Catherina for about a year and a half. Konstantin used the “death” of his daughter to seek revenge on John Black, aka The Pawn, who allegedly killed her. He didn’t. Then, after Konstantin kicked the bucket, her name started popping up again when Cat Greene came on the scene. So it’s no surprise that Days has finally cast its Catherina, who’s alive and tangled up in Clyde’s web. Actress Susan Elena Matus debuted on the soap today.

CBS has always enjoyed delivering heart-pounding action and hit shows like S.W.A.T. and Seal Team are a testament to that. These action dramas have been known to deliver fast-paced, engaging storylines without holding back on the stunts and fight sequences. On these shows, the situation is always fluid, and anything can happen. Here, even the main characters are not safe from getting killed off. It was the same way on The Unit, the mission-driven CBS action drama that premiered back in 2006. The show tells the story of a group of covert military operatives whose existence has remained a secret for years. Much like on Seal Team and S.W.A.T., The Unit also goes beyond the men and the mission. After all, all this highly classified work can take its toll back home.

It lasted only one season, but fans still mourn the demise of the sci-fi/western Firefly. As much as we love watching (and rewatching) the series, sometimes it's not enough.
Are you longing for a little more Captain Tight Pants? Want to see Zoe quietly kick some adversary's butt? Wishing you could revisit the Hero of Canton?
Well, we can't bring back Firefly -- oh, how we wish we could! -- but we can tell you where you can tune in to see the cast now.
If you can't get enough of the crew of the Serenity, read on to find out where you can see them now.
Ron Glass - Shepherd Derrial Book
Shepherd Book was the preacher with a cryptic past who boards the Serenity and befriends its crew. We loved Book's warmth and acceptance of his other crew members while still being able to hold onto his faith.

Special Ops: Lioness is a spy thriller series on Paramount+ that offers action, drama, and complex relationships, similar to many other television shows. The show features an impressive cast that includes Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman, just like these other ten series that also have famous stars. If viewers enjoyed Special Ops: Lioness, they might enjoy other shows like Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Mayor of Kingstown, The Unit, Tulsa King, The Recruit, Yellowstone, S.W.A.T., Seal Team, Homeland, and Alias, which share similar themes and elements.
Taylor Sheridan's 2023 television series Special Ops: Lioness revolves around a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program called Lioness, and following the season 1 finale and no word yet on a potential second season, fans can fill the time waiting for news by watching similar shows. The eight-episode Paramount+ spy thriller series contained action, drama, shocking developments, complex relationships, and everything in between.

Robert Patrick has received praise for his work on James Gunn's Peacemaker series, and here's a guide to his many other movie and TV show credits. Robert Patrick had no connections when he came to work in Hollywood during the '80s, and he credits b-movie producing legend Roger Corman with kicking off his career. Welcome to Deadline’s International Disruptors, a feature where we’ll shine a spotlight on key executives and companies outside of the U.S. shaking up the offshore marketplace. This week we speak to Dani de la Torre, co-creator and showrunner of Movistar+’s counter-terrorism thriller drama series La Unidad (The Unit) and director of the recently released feature Live is Life, about local developments, Spain’s emergence as a key European drama hub and his love of nostalgic 1980s movie making.
Dani de la Torre represents one of a growing number of creative talents emerging from across Spain that are making the world sit up and take notice of the stories pouring out of the country. Rosanna Arquette, Melinda McGraw, Frank Grillo, Dennis Haysbert and Dee Wallace are the first to be cast in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm director Jason Woliner’s Peacock series, from The Disaster Artists producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Caviar.
There are few details about the series, which Peacock describes as a “mind-bending project” in the style of Woliner’s work on Borat Subsequent Moviefilm that “mixes fact and fiction to tell a bizarre and incredible tale.” Woliner, who has directed episodes of The Last Man on Earth and Nathan for You, apparently has been shooting for more than a decade.
2022 Peacock Series & Pilot Orders
The series will be produced by Caviar and Rogen and Goldberg’s Point Grey Studios, via their overall deal with Lionsgate.
Woliner will direct and exec produce. Exec producers also include Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver, Loreli Alanis, Annapurna’s Megan Ellison and Caviar’s Michael Sagol and Bert Hamelinck.
