After the second season, the show was picked up by The CW because The WB merged with UPN to form The CW.
Beauty and the Geek was the only reality series from The WB that survived the transition to The CW in 2006. It was also one of only two reality series from either of The CW's predecessor networks to move to the new network (the other being America's Next Top Model, which originally aired on UPN).
