Zee 5’s Crime Beat has given us a great political drama to both enjoy and ponder over, with a handful of crime thriller elements. There’s always risk when a show begins explosively, but Crime Beat continues to keep you hooked throughout. The ending of the show is pretty definitive, which I thought was a good creative decision. In this article we’re mainly going to discuss that, along with the possibility of the show getting another season.

Prince Harry’s well-known regal signifier “His Royal Highness” has been stripped away in his official bio.

Harry agreed to relinquish his “Hrh” title when he and wife Meghan Markle stepped away as working royals. “The Sussexes will not use their Hrh titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family,” read a statement at the time.

According to a report in The Express, as of Friday, Harry was still referred to as “His Royal Highness” on the the Royal Family website; following that report, however, the newspaper revealed that the “Hrh” had since been removed.

Two years on, we’re still not over Nicola Walker’s shock departure from Unforgotten.

When Walker’s character Dci Cassie Stuart – the ITV crime drama’s much-loved lead detective – was involved in a car crash in the penultimate episode of Series Four in 2021, she was expected to miraculously pull through… and then didn’t. The brain injuries Cassie sustained in the side-on smash with a speeding car thief were too severe for her to recover from.

Fans watched in shock as Cassie’s family received the news in hospital, and colleague Di Sunny Khan ended the series by placing flowers on her grave, accompanied by a touching monologue. “She longest lives, who most to others gives, herself forgetting” read the inscription on the headstone.

Given the current state of the world, this All Hallow’s Eve will see more folks staying in than ever before, so we’ll need as much choice when it comes to finding a perfect movie or TV show to dive into as possible. Thankfully, Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video have got us covered.

Of course, there’s much more beyond just horror content arriving across the streaming world this October, with the first day of the month launching hundreds of new titles on all the various sites. October is officially spooky season and it’s nice to know that some streaming services (*cough*Disney+*cough*) are taking that responsibility very seriously.

For its new releases in October 2020, Hulu is premiering the Marvel TV universe’s first-ever outright horror series. Helstrom debuts on Oct. 16 and follows Marvel Comics character Daimon Helstrom as he struggles against all manner of demonic forces. Another spooky treat arriving this month is Monsterland on Oct. 2. This anthology will feature scary stories from around the country.

On the movie side of things, Hulu is bringing out Clive Barker adaptation Books of Blood on Oct. 7 and Bad Hair on Oct. 23. Thank you, Hulu, for your spooky service.

There are a lot of non-Hulu TV shows of note arriving in October as well. The final season of Homeland will be available to stream on Oct. 26. The premiere of Saturday Night Live‘s 46th season will arrive on Oct.

We’re now just over halfway through September, so let’s turn our attention to what’s coming to Hulu next month. Every October, the streaming service celebrates “Huluween” by adding a bunch of new Halloween-themed content. And this year is no different, with countless classic movies going up on the site that you’ll want to check out to get you in the spooky mood as well as a few notable originals.

These include anthology series Monsterland (October 2nd) and horror comedy film Bad Hair (October 23rd), starring Lena Waithe, Vanessa Williams and Laverne Cox, from Dear White People director Justin Simien. Superhero fans will also want to catch supernatural-themed Marvel series Helstrom (October 16th). The final production from Marvel Television, it’s sadly already doomed to just the one season.

Los Angeles – In another shocking piece of news in this year of 2020, the actor Chadwick Boseman, who embodied the Marvel superhero Black Panther in the film and universe, passed away on Aug. 28. He was known also for portraying black icons such as Jackie Robinson (“42”) and James Brown (“Get on Up”). He was only 43 years old.

Boseman was also a playwright, having written “Deep Azure” (2006) for the Congo Square Theatre Company in Chicago. After doing a number of TV roles in the 2000s, he broke through with his memorable performance as Jackie Robinson, and landed the role of T’Challa/Black Panther three years later in “Captain America: Civil War.” The stand alone film featuring Boseman as the hero premiered in 2018.

Chadwick Boseman was born in South Carolina, and graduated from Howard University in 2000, with a Bfa in directing.

Chadwick Boseman, who was the star of the enormously successful Marvel film Black Panther, has died of colon cancer at age 43.

He kept his diagnosis and four-year struggle against the disease quiet from the public. Boseman died Friday at home in Los Angeles with his wife and family present, according to his publicist.

Boseman also played the roles of baseball icon Jackie Robinson and music superstar James Brown during his career. But his role as the Black Panther, the king of the mythical African land of Wakanda, took his stardom to the stratosphere.

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, his family said in a statement.

Peacock today announced all eight Harry Potter films will be available to stream in windows over the next six months starting later this year and into 2021.

The movie adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s famed series ranked as the highest-grossing film franchise in history and are a fantastic addition to Peacock’s growing library of iconic films.

The Walking Dead fans are still waiting for the final episode of season 10 to air following coronavirus disruption, but at least they’re using their time productively. Many of them appear to have been binging old seasons of the zombie show and picking out glaring factual inaccuracies that slipped under the radar the first time around. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is promoting his latest tentpole “Rampage,” and he isn’t shying away from speaking about his personal battle with depression. The actor shared a message on Twitter on April 2 that read: “We all go through the sludge/shit and depression never discriminates. Took me a long time to realize it but the key is to not be afraid to open up. Especially us dudes have a tendency to keep it in. You’re not alone.”

Actor Nelsan Ellis, best known for playing flamboyantly gay short-order cook/drug dealer/spirit medium Lafayette Reynolds on seven seasons of HBO’s True Blood, has died. According to Variety, Reynolds, who was 39, died of complications from heart failure.

Born in Chicago, and Julliard-trained, Ellis first broke into TV with a role on Fox’s short-lived crime drama The Inside, playing the tech guy for the show’s Rachel Nichols-led team of crimesolvers.
