Someone is about to be in the dog house!

French President Emmanuel Macron’s rescue pooch, Nemo, is often a fixture in presidential events and meetings, but on Sunday the two-year-old dog really stole the show.

The Labrador-Griffon cross decided to take a pee break during an important meeting between government members and his master. The hilarious moment was caught on camera by French TV TF1 and quickly went viral on Twitter.

Obviously a dog of fine taste, the President’s pup chose an ornate gilded fireplace in the 18th Century Élysée Palace as the perfect place to cock his leg.

Another famous captain will be joining Hook in the cast of Once Upon a Time for season 6. EW reports that Faran Tahir has been cast as Captain Nemo. Nemo is best known as one of main characters from the Disney film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, based on the Jules Verne novel of the same name, where he captains a submarine named the Nautilus.

With X-Men: Apocalypse launched successfully into theaters, director Bryan Singer is ready to move on to his next project. Last September, he announced that he would next be tackling 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, based on the novel by Jules Verne about an undersea adventure. At the time, we knew that both Disney and Fox were developing movies based on Verne's classic tale. In February of this year, we learned that 20th Century Fox had boarded Singer's project and was aiming to begin production this fall. James Mangold is a director with a slightly odd CV, and now he’ll be throwing yet another 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea film into the mix. It isn’t even the only one headed your way right now, as Bryan Singer recently took the helm for 20th Century Fox‘ version, which will stick with the classic title.

Mangold’s Disney version is Captain Nemo, and apparently focuses more on the character than the story we’re all familiar with. Apparently it’s something of an origin story. Perhaps the two films in development will play well back-to-back.

I suppose great minds think alike, but the need for a remake seems questionable, even if Singer is fantastically excited about the project.

On the other hand, if the Disney version is actually a departure from the story, at least we may be in for something new. In fact, there...

Scream Factory now brings us Part Three of its Vincent Price collection, pretty much emptying the closet over at MGM. Not counting his twilight feature The Whales of August every Vincent Price film under the MGM banner will soon be out on Blu-ray.

Director James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma) will direct a Captain Nemo origin film for Walt Disney that will be an original story rather than a direct adaptation of the Jules Verne novel.  Sebastian Gutierrez (Hotel Noir and The Eye) is writing the script. Fearful Wolverine fans should rest easy as reports from all the Hollywood trades indicate that Mangold is still hard at work on prepping his shoot for The Wolverine sequel.   However, as luck would have, there's another X-Men director who plans on making a film starring Captain Nemo, Bryan Singer.   The X-Men: Apocalypse director has stated that 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea will be his next film for Fox, following Apocalypse.  With Apocalypse set to hit theaters in May and The Wolverine 2 still set to shoot, it looks like Singer's version will hit theaters well before Mangold's take.  Another difference is that Singer's version will be...

Filmmaker James Mangold is set to direct "Captain Nemo," an origin story based on Jules Verne's classic nautical tale "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" at Disney Pictures.

Sebastian Gutierrez ("Hotel Noir," "The Eye") penned the latest draft, he and Mangold taking over for Andrew Kevin Walker and David Fincher respectively who were both previously attached to the project and were developing it before departing a few years back.

Disney, which previously adapted the property into the 1954 film starring James Mason and Kirk Douglas, will develop the new film along the lines of their other live-action reinventions of late such as "Maleficent" and "Alice in Wonderland," offering a different version of a classic story - in this case a full on prequel in which we see how Nemo created his battle submersible The Nautilus.

Disney is finally moving forward with their 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea inspired movie, Captain Nemo. The studio has hired James Mangold to helm the film. He is the director of The Wolverine and the upcoming third and final Wolverine movie starring Hugh Jackman.

Disney has been trying to get this project made for years, and at one point David Fincher was famously attached. That would have been a version of the film I would have loved to see. But alas, it wasn't meant to be.

The latest draft of the script was written by Sebastian Gutierrez (Hotel Noir and The Eye), and I'm sure Mangold will do a fine job bring this story to life on the big screen again, but probably not as fine a job as Fincher would have done.

James Mangold’s hotly-anticipated and indeed R-rated Wolverine sequel has been making waves of late, though Deadline reports that Mangold will really be hitting the high seas further down the line with Disney’s long-gestating maritime adventure, Captain Nemo.

Pitched as an origins tale to H.G. Wells’ 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, the reboot is currently situated in pre-production where Sebastian Gutierrez (Hotel Noir, The Eye) is busy whipping a script into shape. As one of the studio’s first live-action feature films, Leagues holds a tremendous amount of historical value for the House of Mouse. Originally released in 1954, Captain Nemo was the core anti-hero of the swashbuckling epic, and Disney is now hoping to weave a feature film out of Jules Verne’s story – one centering on the captain as he creates the Nautilus warship.

Last year, director Bryan Singer announced that he would be directing a big screen adaptation of Jules Verne's 1868 novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This is been a dream project of his, and now he's set to shoot the film this fall. He previously said:

"It's my 50th birthday (ouch), and I just put the finishing touches on the script for my next film. A story I've wanted to retell since childhood. I promise this will be an epic and emotional adventure for all ages! An adventure very dear to my heart."

I really hope that Singer does bring us something epic. It's exciting that he's going to be able to do this, but I would have much rather seen David Fincher's version. Whenever Singer steps away from the X-Men franchise to do something else, you never know if those films are going to be good or not. Superman Returns...

Director Bryan Singer has closed a deal with 20th Century Fox to direct an adaptation of author Jules Verne's classic novel, "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea." Singer will begin prepping the film for a fall start date and produce the film through his Bad Hat Harry production banner alongside his partner Jason Taylor.

Two iterations of "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" have been in development over the years which included McG circling the project in 2009 and David Fincher came closest to directing an adaptation with Disney but had difficulty narrowing down a lead actor as the studio proposed a big name actor such as Brad Pitt to star in the film but Fincher was eyeing Channing Tatum or Chris Hemsworth which made the director and the studio scrap the film altogether.

An investigating French marine biologist joins an expedition that includes a Canadian whaler and the biologist's servant. The three men are thrown overboard when the 'monster' attacks their ship, and they soon learn it is a submarine very far ahead of its era and commanded by the enigmatic Captain Nemo.
