This was a funny movie even though I'm sure that wasn't the intention. People get shot but react to it like 10 seconds later. The acting is so bad that this movie becomes a comedy real fast.
I was expecting one of those silly horror flicks with this one, but I must say. I was DEAD WRONG! This story kept me riveted to the screen. I wanted to know what this was all about. I won't tell you as I don't want to spoil it for anyone else but to my surprise, it was extremely interesting. Now, of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this is mine. I wanted to take the time to comment on Mustang Sally's Horror House as it wasn't like anything else I could think of. Oh, and quite a few funny moments as well. I wish someone would come to Hawaii and make a film like this here. Hint, hint. All in all, nicely done, acted and directed.
Where to begin with this garbage? Sweet Lord, this is some of the worst acting I've ever seen. The characters are so overdrawn and unbelievable that it's hard to even care what happens to any single person. I have to love that they get all you need to know about the characters out of the way in a barrage of exposition in the first 10 minutes. I'm still laughing at that scene-not because it's funny (it's not), but because it so embarrassing. There is remarkably little blood, plot holes galore and SO MUCH PADDING just to fill out the run time. If someone would like to tell me how it ends, I'd appreciate it because I turned it off with about 12 minutes to go. I just didn't care.
Bad acting, bad writing, forced dialog. The cast had no chemistry. The camera work was shaky and several establishing shots are recycled over and over. Sure there are some nice looking girls but they don't show up till later. Not worth the watch.
It's about time that a horror film has been made that keeps you guessing and sitting on the edge of your seat until the end. Mustang Sally's Horror House has it all... Sexy guys and girls, thrills, murder, twists and turns, and an ending that will shock everyone! Plus, it was nice seeing brand new faces in this movie instead of the same old actors you see film after film. The director certainly has an eye for beautiful women and gorgeous guys. One guy in particular stands out - Sean McGene (Seamus McGyver). He's like a young Jim Carrey in the making - cute and a little goofy at the same time. His role is hilarious as the virgin geek who thinks he's the coolest guy in the bunch. And, of course, veteran actress E.G. Daily was outstanding. Her performance was wonderful, and she looks absolutely beautiful. I expect this film to launch quite a few careers. I also expect to see many more films for writer/director Iren Koster. He has a unique style of writing and sense of humor that is missing in so many films that are being released today. Great job. Can't wait for his next film!
