Nicola Ransom was briefly considered for the role of Ivy, as was Andrea Collins. More than a dozen actors auditioned for the part of Sean: Thomas Harbort, Oliver Wronka and several other actors stepped into the part before it finally went to Rainer-Maria Wittenauer.
It took more than three years to finish this film.
The movie is dedicated to Markus Henkel, who died two months before filming began. He was the partner of André Schneider for four years.
