Amazon MGM Studios has revealed the official trailer and poster for Tyler Perry’s Duplicity, which will begin streaming on Prime Video on March 20, 2025.

In Tyler Perry’s Duplicity, high-powered attorney Marley (Kat Graham) faces her most personal case yet when she is tasked with uncovering the truth behind the shooting of her best friend Fela’s (Meagan Tandy) husband (Joshua Adeyeye).

With the help of her boyfriend (Tyler Lepley) – a former cop turned private investigator – Marley’s search for what really happened leads her down a treacherous maze of deception and betrayal.

One of the latest collaborations between Netflix and Tyler Perry drops a new preview as Perry's most notable character is ready to wreak havoc again. The newest Perry film, Madea's Destination Wedding, releases first-look imagery ahead of its release later this year.

Via Variety, Netflix shared the first image from Madea's Destination Wedding, which sees Perry portray the eponymous Mabel "Madea" Simmons and her wisecracking brother, Joe Simmons. They have their bags packed for a trip alongside the rest of the family, which includes Cora (Tamela Mann), Mr. Brown (David Mann) and Aunt Bam (Cassi Davis).

And, unfortunately, the results perpetuate Perry's poor scoring on Rotten Tomatoes, as the historical war drama currently registers only 49% on the Tomatometer against 35 reviews.

A New Year means lots of removals from Netflix and January 1st is looking busy, with over 100 movies set to leave the service already. Below, we’ll be keeping track of all the Netflix departures for the first month of 2024.

First, a few housekeeping notes as to how Netflix removals work before we dive in. Due to licensing agreements, shows and movies added to Netflix aren’t added forever. Instead, they’re essentially rented for a fixed period. All the shows below have their current window on Netflix ending and will likely be bound for a rival streaming service.

We list titles slightly differently from other outlets, with our listings being the actual day of removal. If you want to watch any titles scheduled to expire on January 1st, for example, you’ll need to watch by the end of December 31st.

Free TV Networks, a new programming entity with a presence in both over-the-air broadcast and streaming, has enlisted Warner Bros. Discovery, Lionsgate and Gray Television as partners and suppliers.

The new company is founded and led by Jonathan Katz, who gained attention a decade ago by creating multicast networks, or “diginets” using spectrum made available via the TV industry’s conversion to high-definition signals during the 2000s. That portfolio of networks, including Bounce, Escape and Grit was acquired in 2017 by E.W. Scripps for $292 million.

The latest feature from David Fincher, a big-budget drama series from Steven Knight and Shawn Levy, and an Oscar hopeful starring Annette Bening and Jodie Foster are among the standout new additions hitting Netflix in November.

With The Killer, Fincher reteams with Seven writer Andrew Kevin Walker to adapt the graphic novel written by Alexis Nolent. The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival this year and debuts on Netflix on Nov. 10, stars Michael Fassbender as a shadowy unnamed assassin and features a cast that includes Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, Gabriel Polanco, Kerry O’Malley, Emiliano Pernía, Sala Baker, Sophie Charlotte and Tilda Swinton.

The Hollywood Reporter‘s review of The Killer described the film as “a satisfyingly retro, location-hopping genre exercise with fisticuffs, gadgets (albeit ones bought from Amazon) and smooth-talking antagonists that all plays like a tongue-in-cheek spoof of James Bond movies.”

All the Light We Cannot See...

Netflix’s slate for November 2023 has much to offer as the transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving and eventually Christmas begins. Many favorite movies such as Jennifer Garner’s “13 Going on 30” and “The Big Lebowski” arrive Nov. 1, while Garner’s new movie “The Family Switch” rounds out the month when it arrives on the streamer Nov. 30. Other can’t-miss film arrivals on November first include “Whiplash,” “Sixteen Candles,” “The Social Network” and “Pitch Perfect.”

Several new seasons of Netflix shows arrive this month as well, the most highly anticipated of which might be “The Crown” Season 6 Part 1. The first half of the final season of the royal drama series arrives Nov. 16. The limited series adaptation of “All the Light We Cannot See” by Shawn Levy and Steven Knight launches November 2. Levy directed all four episodes of the epic drama series, adapted from the Pulitzer prize-winning novel by Anthony Doerr.

November on Netflix is peppered with curiosities for just about everyone. This month will see the long-awaited adaptation of Anthony Doerr’s award-winning novel All the Light We Cannot See hit the streamer. Directed by Shawn Levy (The Adam Project) and starring Mark Ruffalo, the limited series will tell the emotional story of a blind French girl who meets a German soldier in the final days of WWII.

Elsewhere, Netflix will unveil its first expansion of its planned Squid Game universe with an actual competition show that will challenge 456 players to be the final winner of no less than $4.56 million. Squid Game: The Challenge will feature games recreated from the hit 2021 show, hopefully with a comparatively zero chance of death for the contestants!

On Thursday, Peele tweeted an image of the movie's official poster, though he offered no further explanation. Along with the names of three cast members, the title Nope can be seen in all-caps popping on the poster. The release date of July 22, 2022 --- exactly one year from today --- is also shown at the bottom, along with the promise that it will be released only in theaters.

20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for Vacation Friends. The upcoming comedy is set to stream on Hulu in the U.S., as well as Star and Disney+ internationally, this summer. Living in the moment, the usually level-headed couple lets loose to enjoy a week of uninhibited fun and debauchery with their new “vacation friends.” Months after their walk on the wild side, Marcus and Emily are horrified when Ron and Kyla show up uninvited at their wedding, creating chaos and proving that what happens on vacation, doesn’t necessarily stay on vacation.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele has tapped Keke Palmer to star in his third movie. After helming critically-acclaimed hits Get Out and Us, Peele has been working on bringing his next vision for a feature to life with a new lead star. While no details have yet been revealed about the character she'll be playing, Deadline reports that Palmer is set to star in the untitled Jordan Peele movie which has already been given a released date for next summer by Universal Pictures.

Veteran actress Cicely Tyson, whose career spanned almost seven decades, died Thursday.

She was 96.

“I have managed Miss Tyson’s career for over 40 years, and each year was a privilege and blessing,” Tyson’s manager, Larry Thompson, said in a statement to Variety.

“Cicely thought of her new memoir as a Christmas tree decorated with all the ornaments of her personal and professional life. Today she placed the last ornament, a Star, on top of the tree.”

A cause of death has not been revealed.

On TV screens, Tyson made history in 1963 with her role as secretary Jane Foster in on East Side/West Side, making her the first Black actress to co-star in a TV drama.

The actress went on to guest-star or recur in many series over the years, Guiding Light, The Outer Limits, Touched by an Angel, House of Cards, How to Get Away With Murder, and Madam Secretary.

Tyler Perry and the Motion Picture and Television Fund have been selected by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Board of Governors to both receive Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Awards to be presented at the 93rd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday April 25.

Perry is being honored for his extensive work on humanitarian and social justice causes, while the MPTF will receive the first Hersholt ever awarded to an organization, an act the AMPAS board had to approve on this one time only basis as MPTF heads towards its 100th of “taking care of our own”.

The award-winning filmmaker and actor, took to his Instagram account on Thursday (December 17) where he shared the news with his fans while posting a new selfie in the midst of a gym session.

In the post, the 'Madea's Family Reunion' star posed for a selfie while wearing workout clothes showing off his strong physique.

"This is what a midlife crisis looks like. I'm 51, single, and wondering what the next chapter in my life will look like," Tyler Perry wrote in the caption claiming that he is no longer in a relationship with his longtime partner Gelila Bekele.

Exclusive: Emmy winner Lynn Whitfield, Robert Wisdom, and Kamal Bolden have been added to the cast of Hulu’s Vacation Friends comedy, joining John Cena, Lil Rel Howery, and Meredith Hagner, and Yvonne Orji.

Clay Tarver is directing the feature, from a spec script by Tom and Tim Mullen. The plot surrounds a straight-laced couple that has fun with a rowdy couple on vacation in Mexico. When they return to the States, they discover that the crazy couple they met in Mexico followed them back home.

Todd Garner is producing via Broken Road Productions.

Whitfield is repped by TalentWorks. Wisdom, who also stars in the upcoming Hulu/Marvel series Helstrom, is repped by A3 Artists Agency, Link Entertainment, and Fox Rothschild Llp. Bolden is with Robert Stein Management and Paonessa Talent.

Tyler Perry is on a roll. He’s currently in post-production on the Bet Plus series “Bruh,” recently became the owner of one of the country’s largest studio lots (which hosted the last Democratic presidential debate), and this year released “A Madea Family Funeral” on top of an enviable list of television projects. Now, Perry will make his Netflix feature film debut with “A Fall From Grace.” Perry announced the news via Twitter (see below.)

The film will drop on Netflix beginning January 17, and it stars Crystal Fox, Phylicia Rashad, Bresha Webb, Cicely Tyson, and Perry himself. According to Netflix’s Strong Black Lead Twitter account, “A Fall From Grace” will be “centered around a divorced woman who feels restored by a new romance, secrets soon start to erode her short-lived joy.”
