While most of the dialogue in the North American version has been dubbed into English, Slayn and Yayoi's battle cries were left untouched. The Japanese actors who voiced these segments remain uncredited.
North American localizer Working Designs originally planned to release this as a stand-alone product. However, after being confronted by Sony Computer Entertainment America, they were forced to release it with Growlanser II under the title "Growlanser Generations".
There were so many characters between Growlanser II and III that Working Designs had to contract the services of Bang Zoom! to fill out the cast of voice actors in Growlanser III.
This is the final game that Working Designs released in the US as Growlanser Generations before the company closed its door in 2005.
