an ordinary love story

A typical love story of a poor boy who fell in love with a rich girl. Richard plays a self-supporting student who works in the school as janitor (he doesn't look like one, by the way). Angel plays a rich brat. The tandem is supported by the equally box-office tandem of Mark Herras & Jennylyn Mercado who were also crowd-drawers.

The story is very simple and ordinary yet it did really well on the box office, and was in fact the top-grossing local Filipino movie of 2005. Probably because of the unique charisma of the Richard-Angel and Mark-Jennylyn love teams. Plus, the intensive promotion of the production outfit. The theme song, sung by Jay-R and Kyla added glitter to the movie.

My interesting experience

When I learned that Richard has a movie, I know I have to watch it. Well, for starters, I like the movie because it was timely to the Valentine season. Aside from that, the writers were able to revitalize new details to a typical Filipino love stories. Although, I have to mention that, it was a common complaint among my friends who were with me that they find the scenes with Eric's grandmother rather boring but I have to concede it was necessary. Also, this was one movie that failed to elicit from me tears in their supposedly sad scenes but nevertheless, the writers made it up to us because the romantic moments are definitely the best. My friends and I watched it twice in a row; the first time standing the whole time! To the productions, all I can say is, Congratulations for a wonderful movie.
