UK media brand John Gore Media Ltd has acquired KFilm Ltd, the parent company of distributors Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment, Icon Film Distribution and Platform Entertainment, and international sales business Kaleidoscope Film Distribution.

Through the deal, John Gore Media Ltd acquires 100% of the share capital of K Film, including the shareholding of KFilm’s previous investors Schneider Investment Associates.

Titled “Gracie,” the series will delve deep into the family’s history and dissect how they became the founders of Brazilian jiu jitsu, which serves as a major cornerstone of modern mixed martial arts (Mma).

Seni Tienabeso has been promoted to executive director of ABC News Live, the network’s streaming channel.

He will oversee the day-to-day editorial direction of the channel and develop live programming, live events and specials. He will continue to report to Justin Dial, vice president of streaming content.

Tienabeso has been with ABC News Live since 2019, serving as executive producer of primetime. That included the launch of one of its signature shows, ABC News Live Prime with Linsey Davis. ABC News will search for a successor in that spot, as other ABC News Live EPs will now report to Tienabeso.

Chase was previously the executive producer of long form for Vice News. In her new role, Chase will continue to serve as as executive producer and showrunner of “Vice” on Showtime. She will also now oversee original programming, specials, and long form projects while expanding her role at “Vice News Tonight.”

“Bev’s superb visual sense and masterful command of story powers so much of our award-winning work at Vice News,” said Subrata De, executive vice president and global head of programming and development for Vice News, to whom Chase reports. “She pushes the boundaries of storytelling in news, insisting on a cinematic and urgent viewing experience for the audience without compromising the journalistic value of the piece. I’m thrilled to see her role expand across our programming.

There will be no second season for 60 Minutes+, the streaming version of the CBS News newsmagazine. Paramount+ has canceled the series after one season.

“We are proud of the team at 60 Minutes+ and of the stories they produced, which informed the audience about some of the most important issues of our time,” Paramount+ said in a statement to Deadline. “Their journalism was recognized with several awards, including a Gracie, National Headliner and Nabj Salute to Excellence Award. The program featured longer segments and a new team of correspondents, including Laurie Segall, Enrique Acevedo, Seth Doane and Wesley Lowery. They all reported for 60 in 6, the shortform newsmagazine that was featured on the short-lived subscription service Quibi in 2020.

Paramount+ has cancelled the series, a spinoff of the venerable CBS newsmagazine. The move comes nearly one year after the offshoot premiered on the streamer.

The clock has stopped ticking for “60 Minutes Plus,” the streaming spinoff of the venerable CBS News mainstay that was once envisioned as a means of introducing the next generation of viewers to the popular Sunday newsmagazine that has been broadcasting for more than half a century.

Staffers were informed of the decision Thursday morning, according to people familiar with the matter. The company expects to work with employees to find other jobs within ViacomCBS and executives remain committed to making news programming a central part of Paramount Plus, which has been the most recent home of the new show.

November can be a slow month for streaming services. Amazon, however, is entering into 2020’s penultimate month with some steam.

Amazon is really beefing up its TV library in November 2020. Both Community (which arrives on Nov. 8) and Scrubs (Nov. 14) will be added to Amazon Prime this month and in the process complete the streaming trifecta: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu. That’s pretty impressive stuff for both shows. And then on the film side of things, November 1 sees the arrival of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Twilight, and the Underworld franchise. Somebody didn’t tell Amazon Spooky Season was over and bless them for it.

As for the originals, Alex Rider is the most intriguing TV series here. That is based on the British spy novel series and premieres on Nov. 13 on IMDb TV (which is available to all Prime subscribers). That will be followed by Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series on Nov.

Exclusive: Robert Specland, the Black List scribe who has just come aboard to pen the Ufc origin film Gracie, has been hired to write Reincarnation Type, a thriller in the works from Bad Robot and Bristol Automotive. The logline is under wraps, but the producers’ research on reincarnation inspired a character-based thriller in the vein of The Sixth Sense. Specland’s take on the material sparked the deal.

The Britain's Got Talent judges made their final decision about which acts will perform in the live semi-finals in tonight's show.

After bringing the auditions to a close, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams had the tough task of cutting down 200 acts to just 40.

The chosen ones will join the five golden buzzer acts - Calum Scott, Boyband, Revelation Avenue, Entity Allstars and Lorraine Bowen - in the live shows next week.

As usual, the judges had several disagreements during the decision process, with David Walliams ripping up one act's photo to make a point.

Even when the choices had been made some of the judges may have had regrets, with Simon Cowell wondering why they had decided to put through Michael Late, Jeffrey Drayton, Narinder Dhani, Mitch and Cally and Peter Lambert.

Exclusive: Ld Entertainment has signed on to produce and finance Santa School, a Karen Janszen-scripted family film. Patrick Aiello is producing with Ld Entertainment CEO Mickey Liddell, and Pete Shilaimon. The film has elements of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, in that Santa Claus is confirmed to be real, and he wants to retire. That leads to a lengthy search for a worthy replacement. Aiello, who is producing As Above, So Below for Legendary, hatched the concept. Jennifer Monroe and Patrick Raymond will oversee for Ld Entertainment. The company began by acquiring finished films, but now is branching into production. Janszen’s script credits include A Walk To Remember, Duma, Gracie and Dolphin Tale. She’s separately adapting the Ingrid Law novel Savvy at Walden Media. She’s repped by Gersh and Rain Management.

Oxygen Media announced that world-famous supermodels Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha will join renowned supermodel and businesswoman Naomi Campbell on “The Face,” a new reality competition series that features aspiring female models in their quest to win the opportunity of becoming “the face” for a well-known brand. This powerhouse trio of supermodel coaches will be responsible for molding, nurturing and transforming the promising contestants as they compete for the career opportunity of a lifetime. Additionally, famed fashion photographer and former model Nigel Barker will host the series. Throughout the series, the supermodel coaches will mentor these young hopefuls taking the lessons and skills they have learned and using them to guide their teams through challenges that accurately depict what it takes to have a career as a model and be the face of a brand. During the process, these young models will be exposed to the very best photographers, stylists and designers in the fashion world. In the end, one girl will be chosen to become ‘The Face’ of a well-known brand, earning a real contract as the brand ambassador. As the image of this brand, the winner will become a spokesperson for that company, representing it from all angles – in print, on-air and at brand-hosted events.

Naomi Campbell (Supermodel Coach)

One of the five original supermodels, Campbell was born in London and caught her break when she was 15 years old. She has graced the covers of more than 500 magazines during her career, and has been featured in campaigns for Burberry, Prada, Versace, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino. She was the first black model to appear on the cover of Time magazine, French Vogue and Russian Vogue as well as the first British black model to appear on the cover of British Vogue. The runway was her domain as she showcased the collections of top designers, including Chanel, Azzedine Alaϊa, Christian Dior and Versace.

Additionally, Campbell has appeared in countless TV shows, music videos and films, including “The Cosby Show,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” Madonna’s “Erotica," Bob Marley's "Is This Love" and Michael Jackson's "In The Closet." Campbell is also responsible for an incredible amount of fundraising and charity work in South Africa and across the globe. She began charity work with Nelson Mandela in 1993, and in 1997 he named her “Honorary Granddaughter” for endless activism. In 2005, she established Fashion For Relief and hosted its first charity fashion show to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Since its conception in 2005, Fashion For Relief has presented shows in New York, London, Cannes, Moscow, Mumbai and Dar es Salaam, and has raised millions of dollars for various causes. Additional shows and events are scheduled to take place in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Karolina Kurkova (Supermodel Coach)- @karolinakurkova

Often called one of the last true supermodels, the Czech-born Kurkova has established herself as a fashion and entertainment icon, most notably gracing best-selling covers of fashion magazines worldwide, starring in numerous high-fashion campaigns, co-starring in a hit film franchise, and producing/starring in an international reality TV series. After becoming the youngest model to grace the cover of American Vogue at age 16, and being lauded as the "next supermodel" by its famed editor Anna Wintour, Kurkova walked the runways of haute couture fashion shows including Alberta Ferretti and Alexander McQueen. In 2005, she was named one of Victoria Secret's Angels and subsequently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. In 2009, Kurkova starred in the live action film “GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra” and went on to play guest-starring roles on NBC's TV series “Chuck” and “30 Rock.”

More than a beautiful face, Kurkova received an award from the non-profit organization "Women Together" for her humanitarian work. She continues to campaign for the welfare of children through organizations such as AmFar, New Yorkers for Children and Global Youth Action Network. She has also done work on behalf of the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund and Wounded Warriors. Married in 2009, Kurkova's proudest accomplishment is the role of mom to her two year-old son, Tobin Jack.

Coco Rocha (Supermodel Coach)- @CocoRocha

Canadian born Supermodel Coco Rocha, a muse to designers Karl Largerfeld, Zac Posen and legendary photographer Steven Meisel, has been a favorite cover girl for high-fashion magazines around the world for the better part of the last decade. One of the world’s most versatile models, Rocha has been featured in campaigns as diverse as Balenciaga, Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, H&M, Gap and Banana Republic. The 5’10” blue-eyed stunner, represented by Wilhelmina Models in New York, is a bold-faced name. She is as well known for strutting runways all over the world as she is for her tireless work with children's charities in Haiti and Cambodia. Rocha is an avid blogger and has positioned herself as one of the most digitally savvy models of her generation with her widely followed blog, Twitter and Facebook. She was the first high fashion model to surpass one million followers on the social media platform Google+.

Barker, best known for his participation as a judge and photographer on the reality show “America’s Next Top Model,” is an English author, spokesperson, filmmaker, fashion photographer and former model. A natural fit to host “The Face,” Barker himself modeled for 10 years in London, Milan, Paris and New York City. Because of his modeling, Barker's love for fashion grew, and in 1996 he decided he wanted to become a photographer and opened his own photo studio, StudioNB, in Manhattan. Barker's photo credits include GQ, Interview, Lucky, Tatler, Cover, Town & Country, Seventeen, Nicole Miller, Ted Baker, Lands' End, Nine West, Lexus, Leviev, Jordache, Beefeater, Pamella Roland, Ford and Sony. Drew is now the laughingstock of the school and for some reason panty-raidin' Connor chooses this time to make his debut on Degrassi this season, which is weird because the last time I checked (just now), Connor Delaurier was actually A Freaking Crazy Person. I admit, I've been waiting for this episode ever since I heard rumblings of a Danny centric with an ex-partner bent on revenge back in the fall. This season has seen so little really character centric episodes that didn't get overshadowed by case work (maybe 3 or 4) and Danny's (Scott Caan) time was past due. Plus, this had backstory on our favorite Jersey detective, and that, dear friends, is what wets my appetite. Add to that the fact that Scott Caan and Peter Greene just freaking owned this episode, and you've got the makings of a great Sweeps start. We open with any nervous flyer's worst nightmare: a murder at 30,000 feet. Us Marshal Dave Collins goes into the lavatory and never comes out. His prisoner, a con named Painter, disappears. The poor stewardess is traumatized to find the Marshal stabbed to death in the bathroom. I think the flight should get extra free drinks,...

The beginning of "Ua Hiki Mai Kapalena Pau" had me wondering if I had somehow missed an episode. I know that Agent Kaye had been investigating Wo Fat for McGarrett, but it would have been nice to get even a hint of what eventually led the Five-o to the front door of one of Wo Fat's safe houses. 

With the end of the season looming large I suppose some things can be forgiven, especially with all the information that was jammed into this story that centered around an investigation of possible bio-terrorism.

It wasn't bio-terrorism really. It was pretty much straight forward murder with a loose connection to a bio-terrorist organization.

Was that a little disappointing?

These final episodes of "Friday Night Lights" have brightened on some fronts. The Lions are back on the straight and narrow, buoyant bluegrass plays during most scenes and we're lingering a little bit longer on establishing shots and montages of Dillon. It's almost over, and the writing is on the wall.

But, to quote another beloved and departed series, it's not all hugs and puppies. The freshly paroled Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch) just isn't the long-haired free spirit he used to be. He's a man beleaguered by anger, resentment and regret. So naturally he's taking it out on those closest to him. Billy (Derek Phillips) probably deserves this, but Becky (Madison Burge) doesn't. (Not that we don't agree with his questioning of her working at the Landing Strip).

Also? Vince (Michael B. Jordan) is a sweetheart again, so we need someone to be sort of a jerk.

"Fnl's" return always makes our TV fall, so this last outing is clearly bittersweet -- much like everything that happens to the poor saps on this series. As they say, spoiler warning:
