This is a 90 minute special which served as a summer replacement for Saturday Night Live. This is not live. It is Martin Short doing one skit after another. There is no musical guest. Jan Hooks, Joe Flaherty, and Phil Hartman are the three main co-stars with some familiar faces popping up here and there.

I love Marty and he has a lot friends here. It's sort of like SCTV without the cohesive back story. My favorite is the Seinfeld/Wings takedown of NBC. I always love taking down the network, but that one doesn't have any actors. Martin also keeps mentioning his failed sitcom and now I want to check that out.
