Bora: Sons of the Beach

All-powerful giant network ABS-CBN just worsened their downfall with the release of 'Bora', one of the new 30 shows released by the said network as a plot to snatch back the top spot in the ratings war.

'Bora' is a sitcom about five musclebound actors prancing around in a TV studio cheaply made to look like a beach. Supposedly, 'Bora' is to follow the ancient Pinoy sitcom formula to no avail. Here are the reasons why this sitcom failed to win the hearts of the audience.

Firstly, the Hunks are overrated. Take it from me, these five men are in 50% of the network's programs and their images are very tiring to the eyes. Secondly, The comedy is a joke. Nobody wants to laugh at the pranks of five prancing musclebound actors in a fake beach set... Well, maybe laugh AT them and not at the jokes. Thirdly, the Hunks are too pretty. Blame it on the machismo attitude, but no self-respecting man would ever want to feast their eyes on other good-looking men. THe pretty ladies don't do it for the male viewers either.

If ABS really wanted the top spot back, they should begin to stop muscling their stars and start pumping their creative writing team. As long as they keep up the bad work, nothing will happen to their suffering ratings.

i for one like Bora it might because i am a teenage girl and Jericho Rosales is really hot. and he does walk around with out a shirt and does act all crazy sometimes but i do think Bora is cute especially Echo. Piolo is cute too and Carlos his muscles are a bit too big but some of the story lines are cute. and if men won't watch it we girls sure will. 5 maybe 4 hot guys on a beach shirtless think about it. and Echo Piolo and Deither happen to be good actors. they do play serious roles and they are very talented especially in the soaps and movies. Piolo is extremely talented. And Echo has the honor of playing Panday in the new action show. now tell me anybody who isn't a good actor is worthy of following in the late Fernando Poe Jr.'s footsteps as Panday?? and Piolo's movies like Milan, and Dekada 70 were nominated in the international movie awards circuit in France.
