Malaysia Airlines Pilot's Last Words: 'Goodnight Malaysian Three Seven Zero'
The final words spoken by one of the pilots manning the ill-fated Malaysian Airlines flight were reportedly “goodnight Malaysian three seven zero.”

Last Words From Malaysian 370

Previous accounts of the last words heard by the Kuala Lumpur air traffic control stated that they were simply, “alright good night.” The final report by the Malaysian authorities has come in response to criticism for neglecting to provide sufficient information and mismanaging the search for the missing plane.

"We would like to confirm that the last conversation in the transcript between the air traffic controller and the cockpit is at 01:19 (Malaysian Time) and is "goodnight Malaysian three seven zero," the Department of Civil Aviation said in a statement, reported The Guardian.

Although the new version of the last words is similar to the initial report – “Goodnight Malaysian three seven zero” is decidedly more formal and more typical of a pilot’s sign-off from the cockpit.

CNN Doesn’t Mind Media Storm So Long As Viewers Shower It With Ratings
Weekly Column: Just when it looked as though the Missing Malaysian Airliner story was running out of gas, officials announced this morning that French satellites have grabbed images of more than 100 “potential objects” from Flight 370 in the southern Indian Ocean about 1,500 miles off the coast from Perth, Australia, giving CNN fresh material with which to hang on to the story for dear life. The maybe-debris, which was scattered over 154 square miles — roughly the size of Denver – ranges in length from 3 to 72 feet which, some CNN pundits noted, is about the length of a wing on the Boeing 777 that disappeared March 8 as it was heading from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 on board. Reporters Who Cover Television, and Columnists Who Want In On The Web Traffic, who in the preceding three weeks had exhausted their repertoire of derisive comments about CNN’s flood-the-zone coverage of the missing plane, spent the day looking haggard and care-worn,...

Update: Ronan Farrow Tweet Touting Malaysian Airliner Grief Breaks Cease-Fire Among TV News Rivals
Update, 1:40 Pm: We spoke too soon. TV news types blasted MSNBC’s Ronan Farrow after he tweeted/touted this morning that he had exclusive footage of the girlfriend of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 passenger Philip Wood when she received news from Malaysia Airlines that it believed the plane went down in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Australia and that there were no survivors. Farrow tweeted by way of promoting his MSNBC program that is telecast at 1 Pm. His tweet was deleted when outrage ensued, and sniffed at his earlier self in a subsequent tweet: 1pm @RonanDaily: the latest on how loved ones received the news – and yes, we will respect their dignity and privacy in what we show. — Ronan Farrow (@RonanFarrow) March 24, 2014 But not until CNN editor Justin Lear tweeted: I wish @RonanFarrow would have thought more before tweeting about exclusive on MH370 family getting text about the plane.

Malaysia Flight 370: Crashed Into Southern Indian Ocean
Ever since its disappearance on March 8th, Malaysia Flight 370’s fate has been a mystery and now it is believed the Boeing 777 actually met its demise in the southern region of the Indian Ocean.

According to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, the distressed aircraft was far away from land and would not have been able to fly to safety.

Razak told press, "Using a type of analysis never before used in an investigation of this sort, [British analysts] have been able to shed more light on Mh 370's flight path … its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean west of Perth[, Australia].”

"It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that according to this new data, flight Mh 370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean."

"Malaysian Airlines have already spoken to the families of the passengers and crew to inform them of this development. For them,...

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370: Plane Crashed Into Indian Ocean; No Debris Confirmed
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 more than likely crashed into the southern Indian Ocean after it disappeared more than two weeks ago, according to the latest announcement from the Malaysian government.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 Ended In Indian Ocean

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak revealed the fate of the missing Boeing 777 in a statement Monday. "This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites," Najib said of the Indian Ocean west of Perth, Australia.

"It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that, according to this new data, Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean,” he added.

All families of passenger and crew aboard the plane were informed that there were likely no survivors.

New Debris In Indian Ocean

Although officials feel confident enough to state that the plane crashed into the southern Indian Ocean, they’ve yet to collect debris of the missing plane.

Chinese Satellite Spots Object in the Sea Near Malaysia Air Search Area
A satellite image released by China on Saturday offers the latest sign that wreckage from a Malaysia Airlines plane lost for more than two weeks could be in a remote stretch of the southern Indian Ocean where planes and ships have been searching for three days. China's State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense said on its website that a Chinese satellite took an image of an object measuring 72 feet by 43 feet around noon Tuesday. The image location was about 75 miles south of where an Australian satellite viewed two objects two days earlier. The larger object was...

Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370: Plane Debris Possibly Found In Indian Ocean; Norwegian Ship Approaches
Debris potentially from the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 plane is being investigated in the Indian Ocean, roughly 1,550 southwest of Perth, Australia.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 Debris Found?

Australian authorities asked the Norwegian merchant ship St. Petersburg to change course and head in the direction of debris, which they believe is the best lead for the missing plane thus far, reported USA Today. In addition to the St. Petersburg, ships from the U.S., Australia and New Zealand are headed to the area.

The area the ships are searching stretches 16 nautical miles, making it likely that the search will take considerable time. As for the objects themselves, they are "of reasonable size and probably awash with water," John Young, general manager of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, said at a press conference.

Debris Search Postponed

As Thursday came to a close in the region, the continuation of the search was postponed until Friday,...

PR agency ‘fires’ client Qatar Airways
Sandra Devahasdin

Perth PR agency Devahasdin has fired client Qatar Airways.

In an email to contacts, the agency’s founder Sandra Devahasdin described the relationship as “untenable”.

Devahasdin would not reveal the reason for the split, telling Mumbrella Qatar Airways “does not fit into our business plans”.

Devahasdin began working with the fast-growing airline, recently voted the best in the world for the second year running, nine months ago.

The email from Devas read:

Devahasdin will no longer be the PR representative for Qatar Airways, effective immediately.

While we very much enjoyed working on and achieving great results for the launch and several promotions, an ongoing effective relationship is untenable.

We would like to thank you for your support of Qatar and Devahasdin, and trust we will be in touch with you before too long regarding other client matters.

Qatar Airways were unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
