Hugh Jackman in Real Steel (2011)

Review by barrybolton187

Real Steel

9/10

"Best movie eva." Dannen, 8yrs old

OK, I know you die-hard film reviewers take your job very seriously so no disrespect, but really, getting your panties in a bunch over this film, well, its just not worth it. I just finished watching this movie, with my attention-deficit prone kids, Grace, 9yrs & Dannen, 8yrs and their rating was that it was probably the best movie ever. Thats 10/10 in anybody's language. ....and really, thats the only rating that counts. Considering the target audience, the bonus was, mum & dad could watch it too and have fun with it. Its a kids/family movie, it doesn't bear any closer scrutiny than that. Those blatantly negative reviewers either, 1. Never had kids, or 2. Forgot what it was to be a kid, or 3. Take their movie reviewing career waaaay too seriously. I only signed up with (whatsitcalled?) oh, thats it, IMDb.com so I could comment on this movie as I normally am too high-brow for you lot ;), but, in the interests of promoting quality family-time, I can only suggest, watch this movie with your kids. You will smile along the way and as my boy said at the conclusion, "Yeah dad, prob best movie eva..."
