Imagine a grown-up young lady who went to Paris to fulfill her late father's wishes by taking up film studies over there, a businessman who is not afraid of anything except love and a free-spirited man who had always knew that he is the nephew of the businessman but maybe not as the series goes along...
This is the story of this romantic Korean drama series. Dubbed as 'Lovers In Paris' in its English translation of the title, the first episode brought its viewers to the very lovely Paris where we meet all those main characters. Tae-young first met Ki-Ju when she saw that the latter's car was not being parked correctly on the streets of Paris. As Ki-Ju needed a maid who can speak Korean to tidy his house in Paris, this was where Tae-young came in. But misunderstandings soon came about. Till Ki-Ju realises his client's wife is a Korean and he remembered about Tae-young and asked her to pretend to his girlfriend.
But the plan soon backfired after the meeting with Ki-Ju's client and the two went back to Korea without realising that they are on the same flight home. For Tae-young, it's to pay her late father a respect at his altar and settling domestic matters. For Ki-Ju, he has become the chairman of the company his father has set up a long time ago. What the two did not realised that they will meet each other again, even back home in Korea. Slowly Ki-Ju realised he may have affections for Tae-young.
But when his free-spirited nephew Soo-Hyuk did even went back home to Korea as well who also likes Tae-young and even a congressman's daughter who determined that he should marry her, things start to become complicated for everyone. Even the seniors themselves. For there is a secret that actually Ki-Ju and Soo-Hyuk never knew all along, but the seniors do. Tae-young soon knew what was the secret and Yoon-ah (the one who determined that Ki-Ju's future wife should be her), who also happened to know Tae-young back in their high school days, asked the former to leave them alone.
As it is often being said that the true love never runs smooth, it is the case here. So, did Tae-young and Ki-Ju ended up together in the end? What will happen to everyone else? The ending, well, it's up to the viewers to decide how to go on from there. Everyone will surely have different opinions on how it might be ended.
I like just about all the songs used in the drama serial. This was actually shown on television here like late last year to early this year. A very light-hearted drama serial. I had depended on the Mandarin dubbing and the subtitles to get me by. Hope those who may be interested in this can find the suitable dubbing and/or subtitles, whichever may be comfortable to them.

This is the first time I've seen a Korean movie and Lovers in Paris deserves more than a 10 star rating! To me this movie is excellent - the three leading actors Park Shin Yang, Kim Jung eun & Lee Dong gun are great performers! I find this movie very addictive though since I bought it a few weeks ago & finished the whole series you want to see it over & over again! People who have seen this movie felt the same way! The story, screenplay, direction, soundtrack to name a few are phenomenal! I've never seen a movie which made an impact on me until now - it makes you want to be a part of anything and everything that is related to this movie - even visiting Korea for that matter! Hoping now for a sequel! More power to all the people involved in this project!
I think this series is nice. This is a comedy-romantic-drama. Like Pretty Woman (Richard Gere-Julia Robert) or Maid in Manhattan (Ralph Fiennes-Jennifer Lopez)cause at first he paid her to be his partner to come to a dinner which she was his maid in his apartment in Paris. You will smile, laugh, or even cry to see this one. You will feel the character inside you. This is very enjoyable.
I like the way Ki-Ju Han loves Tae-Yeong Kang. And I like the love that Soo-Hyuk Yoon have for Tae-Yeong Kang. The appearance of each character is strong. And the costumes are good. The 20 series is worth to watch. No wonder they get high rating.
Anyway, I don't like the ending of this series. So, for me the ending's when Ki-Ju Han and Tae-Yeong Kang chat in the river side. :)
You have to see yourself. My hubby doesn't like drama but not this one. Surprising to see how he enjoy watching this series.

The story is really a Cinderella story. It's exciting and interesting to be watched. The first time story began it's already to the point (usually Korea make it slow), she meet him with funny situation and so the story go on. When they're dancing the man look straight to her at the first episode, it's really a good scene. When he always defending her for everything, and she always make him laugh that is so good. The story is funny and romantic.
It is the second time (the first time is All About Eve) I saw Korean drama which is very interesting and it's better than all Korean drama that I had seen. Beside the man really looks powerful and act like a gentlemen and the woman is pretty, I really like the gowns that she wear (3 gown, pink, blue and white, last is her engagement gown). THE STORY IS REALLY DIFFERENT WITH OTHER KOREAN DRAMA (they usually become sick or death or bankrupt, but this one is not).
Every drama must have their own weakness, this one have it too it is THE ENDING. The ending is unpredictable, they're meet again in Paris and then it's begin again. Will they marry? Will they together again? The soundtrack are good, and I really enjoyed Korean drama soundtrack because they always make good soundtrack for drama or even for a film.
