Featured review
Charles Prince has been practicing the art of wine tasting. That calls for the taster to take a small amount in a clean cup, swish it around in his mouth, and spit it out. But sometimes he gets it wrong. Sometimes, he spits where he shouldn't, like on another person. Sometimes he forgets spit, but swallows instead. And as the movie proceeds, he forgets to spit more and more.
It's less a plot and more of a progression, as Prince's behavior grows more and more fuddled by the wine. Will he break the fourth wall?
At this stage, Prince was probably the world's second most popular screen comic, after Gaumont's Max Linder. That's because he maintained a simple style of subject that was purely visual, like this one.
