Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (2004)

Trivia

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

Edit
If you rewind time during when the Dahaka is chasing the Prince, the monster's creepy grumblings become intelligeble English.
The only game in the first reboot of the series to not have the Prince voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Robin Atkin Downes voiced the character, in keeping with the Prince's more mature appearance in this game.
Unlike most enemies in the game, the Crow Master is the only one who doesn't attack the Prince while he is incapacitated and will patiently wait for the Prince to get back on his feet.
The Prince can find Rayman's hand and a hockey stick as secret weapons.
Despite favorable reviews, much criticism of the game was directed at its dark tone, highly sexualized characters and graphic violence, as well as the Prince's new appearance and disposition. Fans complained that it all seemed far removed from the 'Arabian Nights' inspired look from its predecessor, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003). 'Sands of Time' co-creator Jordan Mechner also voiced his disapproval of the artistic changes made by the design team. No doubt this criticism led to a return to the more cheery and lighthearted atmosphere seen in its successor, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (2005)
