Clarification: from its creator

Since I am taking a "walk down Memory Lane" today (and visiting this site) I want to say - that yes, we had to "deal" with the animals in the movie (dogs, horses, the occasional human) - however, I really-enjoyed interacting with our entire cast - and, our very "skeleton" crew. The kids were terrific too - simply amazing - they nailed every-scene...! So, it wasn't "dealing" with the cast and crew - rather with extreme pleasure did I enjoy working with them on this film. Know this, cast members - you never became "rich" because of this movie - but, you actually-participated IN a movie. That's what I remember - the memories of us having accomplished this film - together - as a community. - Michael Carr, director.

It Doesn't Suck!

Three (3) years of my life. A 65-day shooting schedule. 122 cast members. Dealing with animals and children (cast and crew). The local community came together to create this film, which is comprised (mainly) from members of our internationally-acclaimed Telluride Repetory Theatre Company, and "The Legends of the West" - an authentic 'cowboy melodrama theatre troupe' (in nearby Ridgway, CO). Sheridan Hartwick, who plays "Chloe" is just adorable, and Ned Bosworth (aka Robert LeRoy Parker - "Butch Cassidy") turns in an enduring and memorable performance. Tiare Pitts-Flora was the-perfect fit for "Clarisse", and Gerry Martin (a former Telluride school teacher) was the only-person who could have captured the 'essence' of who the REAL "Whisperin' Jim" was really all about! This is a TRUE story that I have FICTIONALIZED - and few names have been withdrawn to protect anyone.
