A Thai Ghost Heads To Japan In Buppha Rahtree: Haunting In Japan
Arriving on the international scene as part of the leading edge of the Thai film explosion of the late 90s and early 2000s, Yuthlert Sippapak may not have found the international success of contemporary directors Prachya Pinkaew, Pen-Ek Ratanaruang or Wisit Sasanatieng - his quirky and seemingly omnipresent sense of humor keeping him in a rather more limited box - but Sippapak has proven to be one of the most successful of the lot at home while building a loyal cult around the globe with his continuous genre mashups. Posters and plotline for Yuthlert Sippapak’s Friday Killer
September last year Thai director Yuthlert Sippapak (‘Buppha Rahtree’) introduced us to the oddball world of ‘Saturday Killer,’ following the exploits of Tee Rifle an Assassin who kills for money to cure his erectile dysfunction, now Sippapaks back with the follow up film titled (yes you guessed it) Friday Killer and we’ve a plotline to read and new posters to see. Synopsis: Friday Killer is the story of "Pae Uzi" aka "The Eagle of Chantaburi", a professional hit-man who was just been set free from prison. After his release, he learns for the first time he has a daughter "Dao". The tables are turned on Pae when his daughter tries to kill him, because she thinks he killed the only father that she ever knew.

Full trailer for action comedy Saturday Killer
Think of a country that would be most likely to come up with the oddball premise of a comedy movie revolving around the story of a gunman who kills for money to cure his erectile dysfunction, and you’d perhaps picked Japan? Nah, try Thailand. A new length trailer is out for Yuthlert Sippapak's (‘Buppha Rahtree’) latest creation Saturday Killer, which follows the bizarre exploits of “impotent” hitman Tee Rifle in his quest for cash, and the love of fellow hitwoman Chris Styer. From the looks of the trailer that love is somewhat unrequited, in fact we think it’s safe to say, she hates his guts. Saturday Killer opens in Thailand September 30th. Trail at the link.
