A new international trailer for Snow White has found its way online today (via Toonado.com) and it includes even more never-before-seen footage from this live-action adaptation of the beloved animated classic.

The movie, which looked set to be a complete reimagining before fan backlash, appears to be very much in line with its 1937 predecessor. However, we see more of the title character's origin story (which has been expanded) and get some insights into how that connects to the Evil Queen. Prince Charming also briefly shows up.

Whether the "Bandits" who were once meant to replace the Seven Dwarfs still factor into the story is unclear, though we know extensive reshoots took place last year. Those were meant to, hopefully, avoid what was shaping up to be a complete rejection of Snow White by Disney fans.

A hauntingly bad new trailer for the studio’s next live-action remake promises a nightmarish procession of CGI dwarves

Here are two things that recently happened in very quick succession: my oldest son opened his laptop and said: “Daddy! There’s a new Snow White trailer!” And then, less than two minutes after that, he shrieked: “Daddy! These dwarves are Terrifying!”

Reader, it brings me no happiness to inform you that Disney has done it again. Several decades after shaping the animation industry as we know it with exquisite, characterful, cutting-edge feature-length fairytales that are still rightly regarded as classics, it has decided to squeeze out a hot fat turd. As the years of counselling my son now requires will tell you, there is a trailer for Disney’s new live-action Snow White movie. And it is beyond horrible.

Disney has handled the release of Snow White's trailer in an undeniably bizarre manner. The studio ignored the low-res versions which did the rounds after the sneek peek started playing in theaters a couple of weeks ago and failed to react to the fully HD version that followed. 

The official version has finally been released today, though, and it's accompanied by a colourful, eye-catching new poster for the live-action remake.

As you might expect, the spotlight is put squarely on Rachel Zegler's Snow White and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot as the villainous Evil Queen. 

Reshoots are thought to have brought this version of the classic fairy tale more in line with the 1937 animated movie. Early plans supposedly called for the Seven Dwarfs to be excluded following scathing comments from Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage. Disney has revealed a new trailer for its upcoming live-action remake of Snow White starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, which arrives in theaters on March 21st, 2025.

The trailer signals Snow White to be a faithful adaptation of the 1937 animated film, itself an adaptation of the 1812 Brothers Grimm fairytale. Zegler stars as Snow White, a princess living with her evil stepmother The Queen (Gal Gadot) who rules the kingdom with an iron fist. Once Snow White is urged to flee into the woods by the Huntsman (Ansu Kabia), she ends up in a cottage surrounded by doting animals and seven (CGI) dwarves. The story of the 1972 Andes plane crash and its survivors has inspired many books and movies, even the TV series Yellowjackets. With Society of the Snow, J.A. Bayona adapts Pablo Vierci’s book of the same name to make something that’s close to the reality of the experiences endured by those aboard Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571. The aircraft was carrying 45 passengers and crew, including 19 members of the Old Christians Club rugby team, when it crashed in the Andes. Of those, only 16 would survive across an ordeal that lasted two months.

The crash itself is harrowingly portrayed at the start of the film, and with a minimum of buildup. The plane’s tail and wings are torn away on impact while the fuselage sails down the snowy mountainside like a sled. Zach Bryan is going to have a busy year in 2024.

Bryan announced the Quittin’ Time Tour 24 on social media back in August, just before wrapping up his Burn, Burn, Burn Tour.

“This year was too much fun, thank you guys so much for making our lives a dream. Boys are headed home and gearin’ up,” he wrote in the announcement.

He will be kicking off his 2024 tour on March 5 with three nights in Chicago. Throughout his tour, he will make stops in other major cities like New York City, Atlanta and Los Angeles.

While the “Quittin’ Time” Tour will have Bryan performing for most of 2024, he will be taking a break after August and will return to the stage in November before ending in December.

In September, Bryan was arrested in his native state of Oklahoma for “obstruction of investigation.”

Per Deadline, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes reached the $100 million milestone at the domestic box office on its 11th day of release. It also crossed the $100 million mark internationally, bringing its total global earnings to $200 million. The movie is the second Lionsgate project to surpass $100 million, with John Wick: Chapter 4 accomplishing the same feat in eight days.

The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival drifted to a conclusion in midweek, with project awards presented on Wednesday, followed by Thursday’s festival closing events. For decades the Golden Horse awards had been the most prestigious prize ceremony in the Chinese-language firmament. That high profile has been harder to maintain over the last couple of years, given that the mainland Chinese industry is under government instruction to boycott the event, following a pro-independence speech given by an award winner at the 2018 ceremony.

Those big teases at the BBC have spent months drip-feeding us tiny morsels of juicy Doctor Who news, from confirming series 14 guest stars one by one to (finally!) giving us the 60th anniversary special air dates (and even deleting a reference to a “spring 2024” series 14 release date), so it was quite a shock to see that Disney seems to have casually leaked the Doctor Who Christmas special episode title and air date in a random social media post today.

All we really knew so far was it was to be Ncuti Gatwa’s first full episode as the Fifteenth Doctor, would feature the debut of his new companion Ruby Sunday (Coronation Street’s Millie Gibson) and that it was airing “over the festive period in 2023”.

Freeform’s 2023 “25 Days of Christmas” lineup includes holiday favorites Home Alone, The Santa Clause trilogy, and classic animated offerings Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Kate Bush has announced a new archival campaign that will see her back catalog reissued in new physical formats.

Among the re-releases are “two radically different presentations” of Bush’s 1985 album, Hounds of Love. The Baskerville Edition features new cover art created by Glasgow-based design studio Timorous Beasties, alongside a solar powered flashing LED light. The Boxes of Lost At Sea consists of two boxes, each containing one side of the album, Uv printed illustration on white vinyl and a battery powered LED light. These releases are due out on December 1st and a portion of proceeds will benefit War Child.

Additionally, Bush’s entire discography will be reissued in different physical formats, including limited-edition vinyl and CD. Selected colored pressings will only be available at independent record stores or via Bush’s website.

With the holidays right around the corner, Freeform’s “25 Days of Christmas” is back.

This year, starting December 1, the special lineup event will introduce Disney+ holiday films “Noelle,” which stars Anna Kendrick, and “Godmothered,” which stars Jillian Bell, as the flicks make their Freeform debut.

In addition to the new favorites, the network will welcome back classic holiday movies, including 2000 film “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” “Frozen,” “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas” and the 1994 version of “Miracle on 34th Street.”
