This film was so ahead of it's time. That's the only explanation I can find that this movie wasn't successful
As this movie introduced a new type of comedy that didn't exist with an artistic gag like skits in the movie adding legendary and mythical to it and creating a bomb of a new comedy that would be the core to most of nowday comedy movies and shows in egyption cinema it might have had its downs when it was released but little did we know it would change many things and many people will come to like this and treat it like pulp fiction it is indeed the peak of the new beginning which back in the day wasn't really working with that generation but for newer generations like me who grew up watching it it is peak.
I have been on IMDB for years now and never reviewed any title, I am only doing this because I was surprised that this has no comments on here. This film is really one of its kind. No Egyptian Comedy has ever even been close to how smart and quirky this movie is- and for me no film at all-. Directed by a comedy genius Ahmed Meky this film is a rare gem that's done everything new with a main theme that's not new at all. This film and its jokes are still really relevant fifteen years later and will definitely live for many more years, but probably only to be appreciated by Arabic speakers.
