Doom

Does Fantastic Four: First Steps have a post-credit scene? (A spoiler-free answer)
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is approaching the end of its Multiverse Saga, and everyone knows what that means: An Avengers movie is on the horizon. Earth's Mightiest Heroes will finally assemble after a seven-year hiatus, and expectations couldn't be any higher. The only problem? There hasn't been any build-up towards the impending arrival of Doctor Doom, which feels off considering he should be established as the next big bad to fear. On the bright side, there are still a few places where we might see his debut. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released before Avengers: Doomsday, and, of course, we also have The Fantastic Four: First Steps to look forward to.

Fans have waited years to see Marvel's First Family join the MCU, and that day is nearly here. Following the incredible critical success of Thunderbolts*, we're all eager to discover if the upcoming movie will be able to keep the momentum going.

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business Review: High-Rise, High Caliber, High Jank
Image
The aftermath of an attack on the Detroit police precinct is a scene of carnage and duty. For RoboCop, there is no pause, only a new objective. His investigation points to a singular source: the OmniTower, an Ocp-built skyscraper now functioning as the fortress for a highly trained mercenary company. This standalone follow-up to Rogue City trades the patrol beats of Old Detroit for a focused, vertical assault.

The entire experience is contained within this concrete behemoth, shifting the formula from a semi-open world to a concentrated corridor shooter. The tone remains perfectly authentic, a grim cocktail of extreme violence and sharp, deadpan satire delivered by the titular cyborg. As RoboCop begins his ascent, the central question forms: Does caging this mechanical beast within a single high-rise amplify the action to new heights, or does it merely expose the limitations of his programming?

Mechanical Enforcement

Playing as RoboCop is an exercise in deliberate force,...

10 Successful Video Games That Were Initially Mocked By Gamers
Image
As gamers, we all love to judge fast and tear down games that don’t meet our expectations. In most cases, the criticism is fair. Just take a look at something like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023), is it even worth your drive space? However, if we’re being honest, sometimes we take things too far and write off titles in a matter of seconds.

Our early reviews and memeing into oblivion can sometimes seriously damage or ruin a game even before it’s had a fair chance in the market. And yet, every now and then, we see a game rise like a phoenix from the dark ashes of hate to break every single record under the sun. So, let’s take a look at 10 video games that we all mocked at launch, but they proved everyone wrong by doing a zero-to-hero story.

1. No Man’s Sky

Of course,...

Batman Proves He’s Greatest Superhero Ever By Single-Handedly Defeating Entire Justice League In This DC Animated Movie
Image
Justice League Doom(Photo Credit –Prime Video)

Batman’s tactical supremacy receives its ultimate vindication in Justice League: Doom, where the Dark Knight’s predilection to formulate the most quintessential plans enables him to systematically dismantle his own teammates. This 2012 animated feature spotlights why the Caped Crusader remains the most resilient superhero through pure intellectual superiority rather than supernatural abilities like Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash.

What Is Justice League: Doom About?

Doom adapts Grant Morrison’s Tower of Babel comic arc, where Batman’s clandestine contingency plans against fellow Justice League members fall into the hands of the Legion of Doom. As his tactical brilliance threatens his closest allies, the Dark Knight, voiced by the late Kevin Conroy, plays an imperative role in the tale insofar as he also carries the devices to thwart the execution of his plans.

Doom The Dark Ages’ Brutal Shield Saw Is Now Real Thanks to This Russian YouTuber With Over 4 Million Subs
Image
We all know that the level of brutality Doom The Dark Ages has is not possible in real life, right? Well, sorry to disappoint, it’s more than possible. The only ingredient that’s missing is demons and someone strong like Doom Guy.

The Saw Shield is one of the coolest weapons in Doom The Dark Ages, as it combines attack and defence in one package. Once the chainsaw border starts spinning, demons should chant their ending prayers, as that means death.

As dangerous as it sounds, no one should be technically creating the weapon in real life. Even if someone attempts that, they won’t be able to make it totally functional. Well, one Russian YouTuber, with over 4 million subs, removed the caution sign and took the challenge upon himself. His name is SuperCrastan, and here’s the story of his wild inventions.

Chris Evans’ Captain Hydra & Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom Hold A Major MCU Hero Hostage In Avengers: Doomsday Art
Image
New Avengers: Doomsday art reunites Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to imprison a fan-favorite hero. Downey is confirmed to lead Avengers: Doomsday's cast as Doctor Doom. He now plays the main villain of the McU's Multiverse Saga after Marvel Studios fired Kang the Conqueror actor Jonathan Majors. Evans is not confirmed for the movie.

However, multiple reports claim the Captain America actor will be back in a secret role alongside MCU Peggy Carter actress Hayley Atwell. Evans maintains that he is not in the film, but that has not stopped actors from appearing in Marvel's slate of projects in the past. Amid rumors of who he could play, a villain has become a popular theory.

On Instagram, @welove__marvel and @70.6ix imagined Chris Evans as Captain Hydra and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom with Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange as their prisoner in Avengers: Doomsday.

'Fantastic Four: First Steps' Star, 48, Got an Incredible Call From a Veteran Avenger
Image
Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be making his MCU debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, where he plays Ben Grimm, aka, The Thing. It's no surprise that playing this character would require the use of CGI and motion capture, and, fortunately, a Marvel alum has come to save the day, and Moss-Bachrach's worries.

During The Fantastic Four: First Steps press tour, Moss-Bachrach revealed that Mark Ruffalo, known for playing Bruce Banner/The Hulk, reached out to him after he caught wind of his insecurities, as this would be his first time performing using motion capture. The actor then shared his gratitude for the kind words from Ruffalo, as they helped him perform his role in the upcoming feature.

"I got a really nice, very long, thorough text from Mark Ruffalo. My character is performance capture and I was a little anxious about that, it's something I've never done before. Mark immediately,...

Bang Star Jack Kesy Opens Up On Hellboy: The Crooked Man's Botched Release: "Sh*t Happens" (Exclusive)
Image
Bang (Jack Kesy), one of the most feared hitmen, questions his violent life after a near-death experience. Seeing a future beyond bloodshed, he wants out—but his crime boss (Peter Weller) won’t let go without a fight.

That's the premise of the aptly titled Bang, a must-see new action movie that's now in Select Theaters, Digital and On Demand. Last week, we got to sit down with Kesy to discuss his role, and took the opportunity to bring up last year's Hellboy: The Crooked Man.

While the actor's performance and a comic-inspired story won over fans, Ketchup Entertainment's bizarre approach to releasing the reboot cut it off at the knees. It showed up in theaters in some countries and was dropped on Digital in the U.S. with little fanfare or notice.

As a result of this botched release, Hellboy: The Crooked Man grossed only $2 million worldwide. Reflecting on the project,...

'Fantastic Four' Star Julian McMahon's Cause of Death Revealed
Image
Julian McMahon's precise cause of death has been revealed, a little over a week after the much-loved actor died aged 56. The Sydney-born star, known for his leading roles in Charmed, Nip/Tuck, and FBI: Most Wanted, as well as portraying the iconic Marvel villain Doctor Doom in the 2000s Fantastic Four movies, passed away on July 2, 2025, after what his wife, Kelly, revealed to be "a valiant effort to overcome cancer." The manner of death has now been ruled as natural, with new details emerging about his recent health battle.

According to a Cremation Approval Summary Report from the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office in Florida obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, McMahon "died from lung metastasis as a result of head and neck metastatic cancer." Metastasis, in the context of cancer, is the process where cancer cells spread from the primary tumor to other parts of the body. McMahon's cancer diagnosis was made public by Kelly,...

More “Fantastic Four”
Marvel Comics new “Fantastic Four” title, now available, is written by Ryan North and illustrated by Humberto Ramos, with covers by Ramos and Edgar Delgado:

“…when the ‘Fantastic Four’ take on ‘Doom’, things go well until they suddenly go catastrophically wrong — and they're sent to four different eras in Earth's history…”

“Alone and isolated in wildly different time periods, ‘Reed’, ‘Johnny’, ‘Ben’ and ‘Sue’ all have to fight to survive.

“Their only hope is to reach the ‘Forever Stone’: a mass of dense granite that happens to be one of the longest-lasting rocks on the planet….

“…which — through a combination of obscurity and raw geological luck — has stayed both intact and accessible…”

Simone Ashley’s F1 Scene Got Axed, But She’s Not The First – This Star Wars Star Was Also Ghosted In Post!

Simone Ashley’s F1 Scene Was Cut Short, Just Like This Star Wars Actor’s Role in Top Gun: Maverick(Photo Credit –Instagram)

Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 feature F1 roared into cinemas recently, gathering strong traction for its adrenaline-packed racing visuals and high-profile cast. However, off-track, conversations have shifted to who didn’t get much time on screen. Bridgerton fame, Simone Ashley, was originally tapped for a notable role beside Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, and Javier Bardem.

At the very least, the F1 director has no taste because what do you mean you left Simone Ashley and Manny Jacinto—two of the most beautiful people to ever walk the Earth—on the cutting room floor? Cinematic malpractice!! pic.twitter.com/nipsgjFSVx

When Kevin Feige Revealed Why Iron Man Would Never Return Despite Robert Downey Jr.’s Comeback As Doctor Doom: “We Are Going To Keep…”
Image
What Did Kevin Feige Once Say About Robert Downey Jr.’s Possible Return As Iron Man?(Photo Credit –Wikimedia/Facebook)

Ever since Iron Man was released in 2008, people fell in love with Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of the Marvel superhero. He wooed us with his charms and tricks as Tony Stark, a “billionaire, genius, and a playboy.” He created a unique weaponized suit of armor while being captive in an Afghan cave. Stark came out of it and not only ruled the Marvel world as Iron Man but also ruled over millions of fans’ hearts.

Downey Jr. continued to appear as Iron Man for years in his standalone movies and the Avengers installments. The actor made the character incredibly iconic and approachable to the audience. However, when he died in Avengers: Endgame in 2019, the whole fandom was heartbroken and devastated.

Many fans started to speculate about his possible return to the universe.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Trailer: Enid’s Demise Teased As Death Lingers Over Nevermore Academy
Image
Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) returns to Nevermore Academy in the trailer for Season 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday, revealing some “mysterious and kooky” plot details.

“How does it feel?” Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) asks her titular daughter in the trailer, as the family arrives with her at Nevermore to drop her off.

She responds dryly, “Like returning to the scene of the crime. I already know where the bodies are buried.”

Watch the trailer above.

Wednesday is focused on getting where she needs to be when she is approached by a bubbly man dressed in head-to-toe purple. This is her new principal, Barry Dort (Steve Buscemi), who refers to Wednesday as the savior of Nevermore, a comment connected to her heroic deeds in Season 1. Much to the famous pupil’s chagrin, she also has a bevy of fangirls hoping to get their queen’s autograph.

Once the fandom dies down, Wednesday...

Avengers: Doomsday Leaked Set Photo Reveals The Thing, U.S. Agent, And Falcon - But Whose Ship Are They On?
Image
We finally have a photo from the set of Avengers: Doomsday, and it features a first look at The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach in a motion-capture costume), The Falcon (Danny Ramirez), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), and Shuri (Letitia Wright).

Wait, Shuri? Yes, look closely at the bottom right-hand side of the photo, and you can see Black Panther's foot. This is a combination of characters we didn't ever really expect to see on screen together, which is arguably the joy of the Avengers franchise.

The next question is, where are they? It looks like a spaceship, and many fans have already theorised that it could be the Fantastic Four's "Excelsior," the craft we saw rocketing towards Earth-616 in Thunderbolts*'s post-credits scene.

Another compelling theory is that this is somewhere inside the Tva; either way, that console looks very retro.

Fans Voted on Top 10 Marvel Villains Too Scary for the MCU
Image
MCU adapted over 50 villains from the pages of comics at this point. Some have been disappointments like Dar-Benn, and some were brilliantly executed like the last year’s High Evolutionary. Still, there’s plenty to introduce.

While we’re waiting for the Beyonder and Doctor Doom, fans on Ranker took on the opportunity to explore the pages of comics to vote on 10 Marvel villains that are either too grotesque or messed up to be introduced to the MCU, so let’s see what the names are.

10. Demogoblin Marvel

Demogoblin hails from Spider-Man’s rouge gallery. He is a twisted version of the villain Green Goblin, having been transformed into a demonic creature after making a pact with a demon.

Demogoblin possesses superhuman strength, agility, and endurance, along with the ability to generate and control mystical fire. He’s not overly scary all things considered but I do see why fans...

The Fantastic Four: Marvel's First Family Covers People Magazine - And Seemingly Teases Doctor Doom!
Image
Marvel Studios is gearing up to give The Fantastic Four: First Steps its last big marketing push before the movie arrives in theaters later this month. Now, Marvel's First Family has assembled on the cover of People Magazine.

As you can see, this is an in-universe feature, and from what we can gather, there won't be a piece inside the issue featuring interviews with Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny.

There is, however, an advertisement for H.E.R.B.I.E., a robot we know that Mister Fantastic has built with the whole world in mind. The team's iconic sidekick/mascot is described as "your loyal companion, tactical consultant, and emergency babysitter rolled into one floating mechanical genius."

"From helping with homework to planning interdimensional travel itineraries (or just grocery lists), H.E.R.B.I.E. is always plugged in and ready," it adds.

However, what's grabbed the attention...

Fantastic Four Stars Ioan Gruffudd And Michael Chiklis Pay Tribute To Late Doctor Doom Actor Julian McMahon
Image
On Friday, the news broke that Fantastic Four star Julian McMahon had passed away following a private battle with cancer. The actor was known for numerous projects, including the hit series Nip/Tuck, but became synonymous with Doctor Doom after portraying the villain in two films.

McMahon was only 56, making the news he'd died even harder to fathom. Now, two of his Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer co-stars have paid homage to someone they clearly had a great deal of love and respect for.

Mister Fantastic actor Ioan Gruffudd wrote, "This is terribly sad news about Julian. Even though we played each other’s nemeses, there was always so much lightness and laughter working together. Every encounter with him was a joy."

"It was an honor to be Dr. Richards to his Dr. Doom," the Welsh actor added. "My heart goes out to his wife and family.

Before the X-Men Return To the MCU, Wolverine & Fan-Favorite Mutants Get a New Funko Pop Comic Cover
Image
The MCU is about to set a new course for Avengers: Doomsday with The Fantastic Four: First Steps this month. Marvel's first family will be featured alongside “The New Avengers” and the official original version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. However, those aren't the only teams coming together in the next Avengers film, as Fox’s X-Men will also reunite before the expansive shared-universe reboots them in the future. Now, with the X-Men’s return imminent, Funko has debuted their latest Mutant-centric Marvel Pop.

A part of Funko's expansive Pop Comic Book Cover line, their latest Marvel figure is based on X-Men #4 from 1992. This featured art by Jim Lee and was way before the iconic artist’s DC days. The cover includes Gambit, Jubilee, and Wolverine, the latter of which is battle-damaged. The figure for the set is an unmasked Wolverine, looking as angry as he does on the cover.

The Worst Things That Doctor Doom Has Ever Done To The Fantastic Four
Image
Doctor Victor von Doom is the greatest super-villain in Marvel Comics. He's such a great character that it's hard for writers to not use Doom. Hence, he has fought pretty much every major Marvel hero: Doom's fellow armored genius Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, the X-Men (during which times Storm has caught Doom's eye), Black Panther, Captain America, etc.

But von Doom's ire is reserved for the Fantastic Four above all else, especially that accursed Reed Richards. During their days at Empire State University, Doom was building a machine to breach the afterlife and contact his mother Cynthia. Reed warned him his calculations were slightly off but Victor refused to hear him. Then the machine blew up in Doom's face. How badly Doom was scarred by this explosion varies, but he's hidden his face behind an iron mask since. He's also convinced himself that a jealous Reed sabotaged the machine...

Avengers: Doomsday Will Give 5 'Endgame' Characters Bigger Roles
Image
Several Endgame characters will have a bigger role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. The fifth Avengers film will center on a new version of the titular team of heroes, with several bands of MCU characters (and characters from beyond the MCU) joining forces against Robert Downey Jr.'s Multiversal Doctor Doom. There have been some significant changes to the Avengers lineup since the last time they assembled, as some newer heroes take the lead after the departure of a few Marvel Studios staples.

New reporting suggested who will be taking over the Avengers spotlight in Avengers: Doomsday, with several Endgame heroes getting bigger, more significant roles in the upcoming film. Of course, the new iteration of Earth's Mightiest Heroes will spotlight different characters than before, but Doomsday signals a marked change for the super-powered team, being the first time the group has been called into action since they disassembled at...

Image
Everyone stop what you're doing. 20th Century Fox has officially announced that The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially in production. Not only that, but it's officially confirmed the return of Anne Hathaway. Alongside the returning cast members of Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Hathaway, Deadline reports that Kenneth Branagh is joining the cast. Branagh will play the husband of Streep's Miranda Priestly. We already know that the film will feature Miranda as her career takes a downward turn in the modern-age of social media and fashion as it stands.

The film will release May 1, 2026, making for just 10 months of a turnaround for the sequel to the 2006 instant classic. Marvel already has a major sequel planned for the McU's next Saga
Image
Audiences worldwide might be gearing up to watch the end of the current chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the superhero giant is two steps ahead already. While we're busy theorizing about what universe Doctor Doom is from and whether or not Battleworld will be created, Marvel Studios has already planned what the upcoming years will look like. Unfortunately, it's unlikely they will reveal their complete master plan before the release of Avengers: Secret Wars. On the bright side, we aren't completely in the dark either.

With the announcement that Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier

will helm an X-Men movie, fans are expecting the Mutants to completely take over the MCU soon. With that being said, they won't be the only ones, as it has been reported that "supernatural" characters such as Moon Knight, Blade, and Werewolf will also have the spotlight to their own (and potentially assemble in a...

Give Franchises Time To Breathe and Quit With the Reboots!
Image
I’m so sick of reboots. I think this is a sentiment of most people, but where I differ is that I don’t hate the idea of them. Just how to actually properly utilize them. We never actually give anything a chance to breathe anymore because, in the name of money, it’s all about milking every bit of property as dry as possible, to the point that audiences roll their eyes rather than actually engage with the content. I get it, some original content is struggling, but not when it’s actually good! Yet the wrong lessons are being taken. So we either get Legacy Sequels that are constantly throwing Memberberries at us, or reboots to try and take advantage of a franchise that’s still in the public consciousness.

We’ve certainly seen it with next week’s Jurassic World: Rebirth, a film that most people are going,...

New Report Sparks Hope for Live-Action ‘Bloodborne’ Movie
Image
A live-action Bloodborne movie may still be on the way, and they are still looking for a director. According to a new report from industry insider Daniel Richtman, the project hasn’t been scrapped and is still quietly moving forward.

Bloodborne, the dark and challenging game released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4, was created by FromSoftware and published by Sony. The story follows a character known as the Hunter who travels through a gloomy, dangerous city called Yharnam.

The city is haunted by horrifying creatures, and the people living there are turning into monsters because of a strange disease. The Hunter sets out to find what’s behind this nightmare.

There’s no director tied to the movie yet, which suggests Sony hasn’t chosen who will lead it. But according to previous reports, writer Darren Lemke was supposed to handle the script. He’s worked on action-packed and fantasy-based stories like Shazam!

Live-Action ‘Bloodborne’ Movie Gets Hopeful But Unconfirmed Update
Image
A live-action Bloodborne movie is reportedly still in the works, according to a recent report from industry insider Daniel Richtman. While Sony hasn’t officially said anything, Richtman claims the project hasn’t been dropped and is still moving forward behind the scenes.

The movie is based on the 2015 PlayStation 4 exclusive game Bloodborne, developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony. The game takes place in a dark, creepy city called Yharnam, which is filled with terrifying monsters. The main character, known as the Hunter, tries to uncover the source of a deadly illness that’s turning people into beasts.

At the moment, there’s no confirmed director for the movie. That likely means Sony is still trying to find someone to lead the project. But fans already have their favorite picks in mind.

The script is reportedly being written by Darren Lemke, whose past work includes Shazam!, Goosebumps, and Gemini Man.

‘System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster’ Is Absolute Perfection [Review]
Image
Just a little over a year ago, we gave a (broadly positive) appraisal of the System Shock remake after it was ported over to consoles. To briefly recap what was said here, we admired how that update preserved the essence of Looking Glass’ genre-codifying trailblazer yet, at the same time, couldn’t help but wonder if there was room for a bit more contemporization.

The meticulous archivist behind that project, Nightdive Studios — who, incidentally, did a stellar job resurrecting The Thing license a few months back — are known for being sticklers when it comes to bringing back the oldies exactly as they were. Indeed, whenever they are entrusted with another developer’s legacy, they treat it with the same reverence that a classical scholar has for those precious texts that can only be handled with nitrile gloves.

To put it another way, they’ve never half-assed it like Konami did...

Kevin Feige makes the MCU announcement we've all been waiting for
Image
Marvel fans are on the edges of their seats for the era that the franchise is currently in. After some early missteps, the Multiverse Saga is roaring towards an epic conclusion that will see The Avengers - from the past, present, and future - reunite to stop the imminent arrival of Doctor Doom and the destruction that he will bring forth for the Multiverse.

Avengers: Doomsday looks to make its presence felt on the world next December, and it will likely be one of the biggest movies of 2026 (if not the biggest). It's the moment we've all been waiting for, and it's an Avengers movie; what could be better than that for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Well, likely the fact that it will lead into a direct sequel in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Speaking of direct lead-ins, anticipation is high for the Marvel Studios two-parter, but those Avengers movies...

Ironheart Tees Up Doctor Doom In Avengers Doomsday, Confirms Ryan Coogler
Image
Disney+'s Ironheart will feature a unique crossover of MCU elements that perfectly set up Avengers: Doomsday and Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. Ironheart will follow a unique premise as Riri Williams' Stark-inspired technology is pitted against Parker Robbins' magical hood he stole from a demon. The 2025 Disney+ series will be a historic one for Marvel Studios as it depicts the McU's first true showdown between magic and technology.

Ironheart executive producer Ryan Coogler spoke with Deadline and teased an interesting way that the Disney+ series sets up Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom and Avengers: Doomsday. As the series explores the McU's first true conflict between magic and technology (the two things that Doctor Doom famously fuses), Ironheart is somewhat setting the stage for the Avengers villain's powers.

Image
"It's clobberin' time," whether The Thing wants to say it or not. Marvel Studios has released a final trailer for its next blockbuster, The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The final First Steps trailer shows Marvel's First Family's Sunday dinner being interrupted by the arrival of the Silver Surfer (Julie Garner), who tells them, "I herald his beginning. This is just one of many highlights featuring Ebon Moss-Bachrach's The Thing shown in the trailer, with another being his refusal to say "It's clobberin' time." Check out the final trailer for the next Marvel Cinematic Universe movie below.

'Ironheart' Producer Ryan Coogler Says MCU Series Gives Fans a Taste of 'Avengers: Doomsday' Villain
Image
Ironheartproducer Ryan Coogler teases that the Disney+ series will give fans a small taste of what to expect from Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. When Ironheart was first announced back in 2021, nobody could have anticipated that it would be a story about science vs. magic, but that is what the Disney+ show has become. The series pits Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) against Parker Robbins / The Hood (Anthony Ramos), with the series trailer hinting that Ironheart will merge magic into her suit.

Speaking with Deadline at the premiere of Ironheart, Coogler discussed how the blending of magic and science in Ironheart is very similar to what Doctor Doom is known for in Marvel Comics. Coogler acknowledged that they were working on Ironheart long before Marvel Studios decided to bring in Doctor Doom as the primary Avengers antagonist in the now-titled Avengers: Doomsday. However, he revealed that the show's mix of magic...

Not Minecraft Or Sonic, But This Is The Only Video Game Movie To Cross $1B At The Box Office
Image
Which Video Game Movie Has Grossed Over $1B At The Worldwide Box Office? (Photo Credit – Prime Video)

Video games and Hollywood have always had a complicated relationship. Despite being built on rich stories, beloved characters, and massive fan bases, most video game movies have historically underperformed at the box office, or worse, bombed spectacularly. From Doom to Assassin’s Creed, the genre was once infamous for failing to live up to the hype. Even when the tide began to turn with modest successes like Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog, a true box office juggernaut remained elusive.

Yet, the hunger for cinematic adaptations hasn’t slowed. Studios continue to invest heavily in transforming pixelated adventures into theatrical spectacles, hoping to crack the billion-dollar code. With Minecraft, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Zelda movies in the pipeline, fans and analysts alike are watching closely to see which franchise could be the next breakout hit.

Ryan Coogler, 39, Shares Major 'Black Panther 3' Update
Image
Ryan Coogler elevated to a new level of stardom this year thanks to the release of Sinners, which has quadrupled its budget at the box office and earned rave reviews from critics and audiences. Many fans were introduced to Coogler via Black Panther, the 2018 MCU film starring Chadwick Boseman that earned over $1.3 billion and is well-regarded as one of the best Marvel movies. Coogler also returned to direct the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and now he has just dropped a major update on his future MCU plans. Coogler caught up with Deadline recently at the world premiere of Ironheart, the MCU Disney+ series that he executive produced, and when asked where he was at on Black Panther 3, he simply said, “Working. We’re working.”

Fans had speculated about whether Black Panther 3 would be the next film from Coogler following his massive success with Sinners, but it sounds like he...

Image
Doctor Doom will soon come to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the franchise's new TV series could lay the groundwork for the character's debut in one key way. Not much is known about Avengers: Doomsday's plot at this point, apart from the fact that Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom will be the film's main villain. Even the character's nature is unknown, as he could come from a number of different universes. However, some important characteristics Doom presents in the comics are expected to be part of the upcoming MCU movie, and Marvel's new TV show connects to that.

Speaking with Deadline, Ironheart executive producer Ryan Coogler addressed how the MCU series is "a great sample" of what is to come with Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.

Bethesda Has Found the Perfect Role for Reacher’s Most Terrifying Villain
Image
It’s not every day that we see an actor post a video on social media, and it immediately gives gamers reason to believe a casting decision has practically made itself. But Olivier Richters just did exactly that. With Bethesda’s Doom: The Dark Ages becoming the fastest-growing launch in id Software’s history, we may have just found the perfect actor for the Doom guy.

Richters, now known for his appearance this year on Amazon Prime’s Reacher, posted a video edit of him putting on the iconic armor of the Doom Slayer. And we gotta say, it works very well. So much so that if there ever were a live-action adaptation, we’d definitely need him.

If Bethesda ever adapts the Doom franchise, we need this actor

Olivier Richters, known as The Dutch Giant, became massively popular earlier this year for his role as Paul Van Hoven, a...

Rumor: Marvel Studios Has Plans To Bring Back Another Major Infinity Saga Villain Following Ultron Claims
Image
Over the weekend, we learned that Marvel Studios reportedly has plans for James Spader's Ultron to be featured in multiple MCU projects after the Vision TV series.

Fans have argued since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron that Ultron is too good a character to be a one-and-done big bad, so the fact that things are likely about to change has been welcomed. Now, there's a strong indication we're going to see another Infinity Saga villain step back into the spotlight.

According to @MyTimeToShineH, Thanos will make his MCU return in a future project. We'd bet on it being Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars, particularly if we're going to see Doctor Doom take him out in the same brutal manner as what was shown in the Secret Wars comic book.

For what it's worth, after playing the Mad Titan in Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War,...

Groundbreaking MCU Film (& Its Disappointing Sequel) Have Become Streaming Hits
Image
Hulu subscribers are revisiting Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man trilogy. The first two installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sub-franchise are currently dominating the streamer's Top 10 chart, with 2018's Black Panther also in the mix.

Per FlixPatrol, Iron Man is the No. 1 movie on Hulu today, sitting atop the streamer's Top Movies list.Iron Man 2 isn't far behind at No. 5, while Black Panther manages to be just ahead of the 2010 sequel at No. 4. Released in 2008, Iron Man was the first installment in the MCU, with its critical and commercial success paving the way for the rest of the Phase 1 titles on the road to 2012's Marvel's The Avengers, which blew the shared universe wide open for Marvel Studios. While Iron Man 2 wasn't as well-received as Iron Man was by critics or fans, the movie was a bigger box office hit, earning $624 million to Iron Man's $586 million.

I’d Play the Hell Out of a Medieval Helldivers if Arrowhead Actually Made One
Image
Helldivers 2 is perhaps the most “hell yeah!” it can get for video games, apart from other obvious choices like Doom or Warhammer. The recently released Doom: The Dark Ages takes the Slayer back to the Medieval Ages, and it got me itching to play more titles in that setting.

Medieval settings are incredibly popular in video games due to their historical and cultural significance and the fantasy elements that could be implemented to make those titles way cooler than they have any right to be.

Thanks to a Reddit post I found while lurking on the Helldivers subreddit like a Terminid looking for a Helldiver corpse to appease my appetite, it got me thinking about how the game would fare in a medieval setting.

Helldivers with a medieval twist has unlimited potential

Helldivers 2 excels at showcasing a future on Super Earth where the titular soldiers fight off the Illuminate invasion for democracy and peace.
