    A very great game

This was a terrific video. You play a man named Nick Scryer, who was held prisoner. Then in the beginning you are let out of your barred cell by an undercover agent named Sara. As you go along in this game, you get different powers. The powers are reawakened as you go along because you had your memory wiped. The powers you get are telekinesis, remote viewing, mind drain, mind control, pyrokinesis, and aura view. Of course you also get to use guns on the soldiers patrolling all through the building. The soldiers are called meat puppets, and the psi-ops strategy tells me that they get harder to beat as you go along. This is worth your $50 dollars of paying for a new copy that you get to keep. It's a very fun game and I assure you that anyone that plays this will immediately love it. That's all I have to say. Goodbye.

A Really Great Game. I'm surprised that this isn't more popular!!!

I rented this game on the recommendation from a friend, so treat me as a friend. Rent this game. You will love, so then you will buy it!!!This game is so much fun. Your name is Nick Scryer. You used to be an agent of a secret government organization called Psi-ops. You were then captured, your face changed, and your memory wiped. You set in the army. Then during a battle, you and your men were taken control of "The General" the leader of "the Movement". You shot a guard, and were put in a prison cell. A unnamed (as of now) woman helps you get out of the cell, thats where start off.

Graphics: The gameplay graphics are OK. The movie graphics are really good. What are really spectacular are the psi power graphics. They are really cool.

Features: What are really spectacular are the Psi-powers. I have only 3 as of now, but they are pretty cool. You first get Telekinesis, the power to lift objects. This is awesome because you can pick enemies and shoot them, or throw stuff at them, or throw him at stuff. If there is fire , you can throw him into the fire!!! Its really awesome. The second one, I forget its name, but its the ability to look through doors, and possibly see secret codes. The last on i have is Mind Drain, which is the power to drain Psi energy from a person through there head. This doesn't work very well, because if you kill someone, it only gives a tiny bit of psi energy. If you want half back you have to sneak up on them when they are alive, the suck on their head until it pops. But one of the other powers is the ability to create fire and throw it.

Gameplay: Pretty good. It can be challenging while easy at the same time.

Overall, this game is really good. 10/10!!! This should be more popular.

Keep my review short just like the game

This game does have a fun little thing going for it. It has great game play. You can get numerous powers for Nick the main character, but it is short. It can be beaten in 6 to 7 hours. I would've enjoyed this game more if there had been more to it. Aside for the shortness. The characters are generic. Most of them are just there. Main enemy is fairly bland as well. There a few mini games that you can have some fun with, but they become quickly repetitive. This game had potential and could be expanded upon if there ever is a sequel. If you're looking for a really short game with fun game play and bland characters this game is for you.

    Scanner Spy

This is another entry for the "Under the Radar Video" series. "Psi Ops" is truly a unique game as the kind of games you don't see and play every day, which makes it a shame that this is game is criminally underrated because there was potential for a franchise; but the even bigger shame is that we don't have enough games that tackle the psychic thriller genre as it's rarely touched upon. It also shows how the Stealth Action genre still has plenty to offer.

I really like the story in the game, it feels like this game could have been another sequel to the "Scanners" movie franchise. Or you can even say a season of the TV series "Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D." as this feels like a story right up their ally. I wouldn't say the plotline is anything new but it's really in its unique approach along with its twisty (in a good way) development that really keep your intrigue up and wonder what's next.

Graphical presentation is solid from the backgrounds to the character models, along with the music which is also solid and fits the game well. But of course, what really powers this game is in the gameplay which is just top notch as it successfully replicates psychic phenomena which adds to the stealth action. Your character can fight basically with the fist a cuff and the generic guns that you can use, but of course we're all in for psychic abilities which don't disappoint.

Having psychic abilities is great as it's a break from the norm and cliche weapons you would commonly use it action games. Like in a lot of action RPG games you start off small with one ability telekinesis, but then as you go further you gain some other abilities like two of my favorites are being able to drain out your enemies lifeforce and making their heads explode. But my absolute favorite is in the soul possession of your enemies which is so cool and, in a way, probably one of the ideal methods for espionage. As you possess your enemies you can pass them by and access what you need but also, you'll be able to assassinate your unsuspecting enemies and when you're done with using the enemy's body you can dispose of them and come back to your body. That part is cool in a dark sense as you can find creative disposal methods without worrying in the world.

However, you must use your power sparingly because you have an energy gauge. This can be refilled from certain special drugs but also the energy drain method, but it takes time to do it and you don't want to be caught when it's on zero so don't waste your power and be tactical. There are some puzzles in the game on the medium side that add to the intrigue but also good head exercise. But I really like the boss fights which are different as you can say there like Scanner battles. What's interesting about these fights are that you don't just do power on power clashing, but you must be tactical, as each of them have different methodologies you must find ways in counterattacking and taking them down.

The only drawback to the game is that it's just a bit short, I wouldn't have minded if the campaign was a little longer. Though that could be said about a lot of other games, despite the ride being short it's still a sweet ride all the same. And good for any fan of the Stealth action genre that feels like something a little light but not too light.

For anyone who's a fan of the Stealth Action genre and looking for something different, this under the radar vintage classic is worth putting your mind to.

Rating: 3 and a half stars.

    • Alternate versions
When playing in the German language option, the game is heavily cut for violence to avoid a BPjM indexing in Germany. The changes: Removed blood splatters and gore, ragdoll on corpses removed, Nazi symbols removed, and the PSI ability mind control toned down to be less graphic. Choosing any other language besides German will fortunately make the game uncut in Germany.
