Although not many may come to think it, Hulk and Wolverine have been inextricably linked since they went toe to toe in Logan’s first appearance way back in The Incredible Hulk #181. As time’s gone by, the two have repeatedly locked horns, teamed up and even carried their storied history over into other media, namely the 2009 animated film Hulk vs. Wolverine, which I highly recommend checking out.
Well, it looks like Marvel is taking the next step by combining the two. For now, all we have to go on is a cryptic image Tweeted by editor-in-chief Axel Alonso that was captioned with “Under Construction” that shows some kind of Hulk/Wolverine hybrid in a stasis tube (check it out above).
Now, let it be known that Logan met his end in continuity proper in 2013’s Death of Wolverine, with X-23 since taking his place. Likewise, Bruce Banner recently bit...

Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief Axel Alenso recently shared an image on Twitter showing two scientists working on a hybrid creature that mashes together The Incredible Hulk and Wolverine. It’s called “Batch H.” As you can see, the Hulk figure has adamantium claws coming out of his hands! This thing is going to be ferociously deadly! The image came with the following caption:
“Under Construction”
This wouldn’t be the first time scientists have massed around with Wolverine’s DNA. Remember, that how X-23 came to be. I also believe that Wolverine transformed himself into a Hulk character in the Secret Wars spinoff miniseries Civil War, but it wasn’t like this. This new combination of Wolverine and the Hulk is a completely different beast!
There’s no information on how this will fit in with the current continuity of the Marvel Comics Universe, especially because the Logan version of Wolverine...

Somehow, after decades and decades of creating storylines using the same superheroes, Marvel Comics can still sneak up and surprise us all. That is what they managed to do today, with what appears to be a tease of something very big happening in the near future. Directly from Marvel Comics' Editor-in-Chief, we now have a new look at what seems to be a hybrid creation, fusing Hulk and Wolverine together in one body.
Axel Alonso took to his personal Twitter account to reveal the new image, which features a Hulk-like figure in a tank labeled "Batch-h" with a couple of seedy looking scientists standing around. What is most important to note is that there are very noticeable Wolverine style claws protruding from the hands of this insane hybrid that will almost certainly wind up being a very bad idea. The photo was simply captioned somewhat ominously with, "under construction.

Chicago – In the summer of 1980, the whole nation was obsessed with one question – “Who shot J.R.?” J.R. was J.R. Ewing, portrayed by Larry Hagman, and the TV show that provided that question was “Dallas.” The role of J.R.’s long suffering wife on the show was portrayed by Linda Gray, who has written a new memoir.
Linda Ann Gray took a circuitous route to her most famous role, as chronicled in her new book “The Road to Happiness – Is Always Under Construction.” She was born in Santa Monica, California, and like many women of her generation, married at a very young age (that marriage lasted for 21 years). She sought fulfillment beyond that life, and began a modeling career in the 1960s – one of her most famous jobs was standing in for Anne Bancroft’s leg on the poster for the film, “The Graduate.”

To the elation of Missy Elliott fans everywhere (especially her base that loves sports and music), 30 seconds of the rapper's next, long-awaited single aired during a Monday Night Football commercial break. The song, titled "Wtf (Where They From)," sounds reminiscent of Under Construction Missy, meaning you might have trouble keeping up with her, but it should still serve as the perfect dance-oriented anthem to pump people up about ... well, in this case, where they're from:espn notes it will use the track as part of its early coverage of the NBA, once the upcoming season tips off. Another preview of the song, which also promises to feature Pharrell, airs Wednesday, at 7 p.m. Est, during the network's opening-night basketball doubleheader. And, according to the above promo, the song will be available in full on November 13 (with a music video likely coming soon, too!).

As "Survivor" begins its 30th season, there has been an unseen player in the background for all 15 years of prime-time television's first--and still best--competition reality series. That player is the Survivor cast contract and Survivor rulebook, which together are the legal agreement the contestants have signed. It governs their behavior on--and off--the island, before and after their 39 days of game play, and it's full of fascinating details. The whole contract, which I first published on "Survivor"'s 10-year anniversary five years ago, is a must-read, but there are a lot of quirky things buried in it. Here are some revealing highlights from its contents. A disclaimer: Though it was published five years ago, the contract, and contestants from recent seasons confirmed that it remains the same, it's always possible it has changed recently. (Though, hilariously, I also published the "Big Brother" contract, and sometime after that, future winner Ian said...

Missy Elliott is back in the spotlight after a universal consensus that she completely stole the show with her epic Super Bowl Xlix halftime performance – but the rapper has been in the game for decades now.
Et was with Elliott back in 2002 while she was promoting her fourth album, Under Construction, an album Missy hoped would speak to a younger generation.
“What's different about this album is it's old school, it's like how music used to be,” Missy told Et at the time. “It's going to educate the younger kids who might not know how far back hip hop goes -- because for the younger generation, they kind of think hip hop starts at Jay Z, Nas, Missy Elliott, whoever -- but it goes farther back than that. “

It's that time of year again, isn't it? There is no greater party on Earth for fans of genre films than Austin's annual Fantastic Fest, and ten years in, they just keep making it better. "In 2014, we are taking no prisoners. The scary thing is that Tim League isn't kidding. Fantastic Fest is special because it's much more than just movies being screened. Every day is packed with events that elevate the entire festival, and with this year taking place at the new Alamo Drafthouse on S. The Alamo Drafthouse’s Fantastic Fest has a stellar rep around these parts, and it’s not hard to see why when you consider some of the indie titles that have played there in recent years. Last year alone saw Coherence, Grand Piano and Septic Man make their world premieres, and films like Blue Ruin, Afflicted, Witching & Bitching, The Sacrament and Borgman all land in the U.S. for the first time.
This year doesn’t look to be any different, with a terrific lineup of indie titles including boatloads of promising horror. We’ve got sequels like The ABCs of Death 2 and V/H/S Viral, and originals like Kevin Smith’s anticipated Tusk and The Babadook. Despite the fact that a big chunk of Metropolis was destroyed in Man of Steel, its citizens are still clearly grateful that Superman saved them (and the world) as a statue of the iconic superhero is currently under construction in front of a green screen on the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice set.
Some fans have speculated that the statue is perhaps there in honour of the fallen Superman as he will die in this movie (in a loose adaptation of the “Death of Superman” story arc perhaps), but that seems very unlikely given the fact that this release reportedly leads into a Zack Snyder helmed Justice League feature!
Regardless, the statue was spotted in the Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac, not too far from where LexCorp is currently being constructed ahead of filming later this week. It’s actually expected that we will get a first look...

U nder Construction is one of the five projects selected for the Work In Progress Lab of Film Bazaar 2013. We spoke to the director Rubaiyat Hossain:
Rubaiyat Hossain
Tell us about your project. What language will it be in?
Under Construction depicts the journey of Roya Hasan, a modern day Bangladeshi-Muslim woman on her journey to unsettle the socio-cultural iconic image of womanhood. However, Roya’s individual journey into finding her ‘self,’ is complicated by the socio-economic backdrop of Dhaka city where death of thousands of workers in a factory collapse is just an everyday occurrence; just another clip in the television news in middle class homes. In unsettling the icon, Roya may shatter the mirror, but the process of finding the ‘new woman,’ womanhood authored by the woman herself, remains a process largely ‘under construction.’ Under Construction is a Bangla language film.
Which stage of development is it in currently?...

'Man of Steel’. It’s a film that really divided the Cbm community; it seems you either love it or you hate it. Whilst I thought the film was entertaining and a relatively good reboot, I still think it was a slightly flawed film, which will hopefully rectify it’s mistakes in the sequel. Now, given the way ‘Man of Steel’ ended, there’s been much speculation and guess-work about what exactly will be the state of play in the sequel, and after thinking it through I think I’ve got a pretty solid idea as to what to expect/what will happen and of course, what I’d to happen in hopefully, the biggest team up film since ‘The Avengers’. 1. Metropolis Under Construction Given the fact that Superman and Zod totalled half the city I think it’s a fair assumption by most to say Metropolis will be rebuilt if not,...

If you were to take every image ever created in the Graphics Interchange Format and order the whole lot chronologically one after the other, you'd have a flickering visual timeline of the internet itself -- from a land of "Under Construction" signs and territorial waving American flags to a laboratory for smart and beautiful commentary. That's the premise of the latest episode of PBS' "Off Book" series, a web show dedicated to the cuttingest of the cutting-edge arts, such as of course, the Gif.
In the 7-minute segment, "Animated GIFs: The Birth Of A Medium," a group of experts discuss the multi-image procrastination tool as it was once known and as its practiced today, as carefully manipulated art. They also let us know in no uncertain terms that it's pronounced "jif," not "gif" (to which we ask: can't it be both?).
Let the "Portlandia"-ish nature of the subject and the interviewees not distract you.

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra's new assistant conductor is making a 4,500-mile move to pump some new life into the city's classical music scene.
Teddy Abrams, 24, will join the Dso from Budapest, Hungary, where he is the resident conductor of the Mav Symphony Orchestra.
"The creative possibilities in this area are extraordinary, and the Dso is at the center of a very positive artistic movement right now," Abrams said in a statement. "The combination of the orchestra’s brilliant artistry and the entire organization's commitment to having music play a central and vital role in the community makes this a thrilling opportunity for me."
The orchestra's assistant conductor position hasn't been filled since 2009.
Abrams won't be contracted with the Dso officially until September, but the talented conductor-clarinetist-pianist will be in town hosting three Educational Concerts this week. Ashley Tisdale back Under Construction
Ashley Tisdale can’t be considered a ‘hellcat’ any longer since she’s moving back in with her parents in the new ABC comedy, Under Construction, although it’s probably safe to say the laughs will keep on coming.
Tisdale, who’s a familiar face to fans of Hellcats, High School Musical and The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody, has sold a “semi-autobiographical” project to ABC which she will co-executive produce and star in, according to Deadline. The new comedy features Tisdale moving back home with her parents while her dad works at transforming her recently purchased wreck of a house into an actual home. The script was provided by David Holden, while Jessica Rhoades, Tom Forman and Warren Littlefield co-executive produce.
I like Tisdale, but I have a feeling that a lot is going to ride on the chemistry between her and her on-screen parents,...

Exclusive: High School Musical alumna Ashley Tisdale has sold a semi-autobiographical comedy project to ABC that will be executive produced by Warren Littlefield. Tisdale is set to star in and co-executive produce the multi-camera project, titled Under Construction, which is inspired by her life and centers on a young woman whose independence is put on hold when she is forced to move back home while her father renovates her recently purchased “money pit” along with her life. David Holden (Accidentally On Purpose) will write the script and co-executive produce. Also co-executive producing are Tisdale and her partner Jessica Rhoades through their Blondie Girl Prods. and Tom Forman for RelativityREAL where Blondie Girl has a development deal. Through that deal, Blondie Girl has several other projects in the works, including unscripted series Miss Advised, in production at Bravo. This marks a return to the multi-camera comedy genre for Tisdale, who started...

This week, the world lost co-founder of Apple and Pixar Steve Jobs, one of the greatest thinkers, inventors and innovators ever. He was only 56. And as we spend the next few weeks thinking about all the things we use daily that Jobs made possible — from laptops to Ipads, Ipods and Itunes, to the Toy Story franchise — we thought we’d look at things from a different angle. Instead of things Jobs did bring us, what about all those other things he had absolutely no hand in creating that make him an even better man than we give him credit for? Here are 20 Things Steve Jobs Had Nothing To Do With. #ThankyouSteve (For the record, I wrote this on a PC while listening to a Zune.) 20. “The biggest problem for documentary filmmakers in India is distribution. There is hardly any formal set-up for distribution and exhibition of documentaries in an organized manner. For that reason, filmmakers have to wear many caps simultaneously.”
Indian documentaries garner acclaim and awards at international film festivals but find little success when it comes to braving the distribution chain to reach the common audiences in India. Think about watching a documentary and one can only think of screenings at some select cultural hubs or college campuses. The notion that documentary films have few takers is fast changing, but has that made documentary filmmaking and distribution a less inconvenient and more commercially viable option?
Saba Dewan is a Delhi based filmmaker whose documentaries Dharmayuddha (Holy War, 1989), Nasoor (Festering Wound, 1991), Khel (The Play, 1994), Barf (Snow, 1997), Sita’s Family (2001), Delhi-Mumbai-Delhi (2006) and Naach (The Dance, 2008)have been screened in several Indian and international film festivals.

Barcelona Review editor Jill Adams selects her favourite films showcasing the vibrantly colourful, and gritty, Catalan capital
As featured in our Barcelona city guide
Todo Sobre Mi Madre (All About My Mother), Pedro Almodóvar, 1999
What is arguably Almodóvar's greatest work begins with tragedy in Madrid, but soon moves to Barcelona, beginning with a breathtaking night-time glimpse of the Sagrada Familia, where the sheer buoyancy of the city steers the film in a powerful and dazzling new direction. Here Manuela (the magnificent Cecilia Roth) reunites with her old friend, the witty and wonderful transsexual prostitute Agrado (Antonia San Juan) – whose flat overlooks the Palau de la Música – while inadvertently immersing herself in the world of theatre and helping a naive young nun (Penélope Cruz). Art mirrors life mirrors art in this vibrantly colourful (literally), multi-layered tribute to women ("We are all women!'" says Almodóvar) that beautifully captures the dynamism and...

Children of Mutiny on the Bounty film star plan to fulfil his hopes for his dream Pacific atoll
Marlon Brando would flee to the South Pacific idyll of Tetiaroa when the glare of the international spotlight became too much. Now, seven years after his death, his eight surviving children have united to build an eco-resort on the atoll in his honour, complete with a $150m (£90m) luxury hotel called "The Brando".
Construction has begun on an environmentally sensitive complex which the film star's friends and family believe he would have wanted for Tetiaroa, a 2.5 sq mile, 13-islet chain encircled by a coral reef, the name of which in translation implies its remoteness.
Brando leased Tetiaroa for $200,000, having fallen in love with the South Pacific and its people after filming Mutiny on the Bounty in 1962. He vowed to preserve it. "If I have my way," he said, "Tetiaroa will remain forever...

This isn't the first time labels have loaded the shelves with new releases all at once.

The sheer volume of mainstream albums dropping this week makes our head spin like that ancient artifact, the vinyl record. Monday saw the release of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday, Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Ke$ha's Cannibal, Jay-z's The Hits Collection Vol. 1, Lloyd Banks' Hunger for More 2 and My Chemical Romance's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. And Friday is the big day for Justin Bieber's My Worlds Acoustic.
Many may wonder why the bigwigs of the music industry would put out such a gargantuan selection all at once. But there's a precedent for this kind of strategy. In fact, music lovers have been through this very same overload dilemma a handful...

It happens every year around this time. No, not that food coma from too much turkey — the parade of megastar albums that drops the week of Thanksgiving.
While the past two weeks have already seen the release of a number of potential blockbusters, from Taylor Swift's instant-platinum Speak Now to new albums from Susan Boyle, Kid Rock, Rihanna, Josh Groban and Rascal Flatts, Monday's bumper crop could help pump some life into the holiday season.
After Kanye West decided to stake out the off-cycle Monday as the release date for his eagerly anticipated My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, his competitors fell in line to take advantage of the holiday-week sales rush, with Nicki Minaj, My Chemical Romance and Ke$ha pushing their release...

"My interest in American culture is accessed through an immersion in international issues, international cultures, and other theatre from other cultures," says Anne Bogart via phone from upstate New York, on a break from writing another (still untitled) book, pre-London bound, and following a preemptive apology for nibbling on her lunch during the interview. Bogart does double duty running the Graduate Directing Program at Columbia University and serving as the Artistic Director of the Siti Company, which she founded with Japanese director Tadashi Suzuki in 1992. The upcoming Siti Company season will include the New York premiere of Charles L. Mee's Under Construction. "I spend a lot of time thinking about it," she continues. "In other words, why is it that not only theatre, but also literature in this country is profoundly different than, say, European literature? ...

Back in 2004, a band called Arcade Fire walked out of the frozen tundra of Canada and dropped their debut album Funeral on the universe. It was an instant hit among indie rock aficionados, and it was easy to hear why, as Funeral blended together ragged indie rock charm with lavish orchestral formalism, topped off with a certain level of darkness. It topped a number of year-end critics polls, sold a respectable number of copies and delivered at least one song hailed as a modern classic (that would be "Wake Up," which will sound familiar to anybody who saw the trailer for "Where the Wild Things Are").
Everybody loved it. Except me.
I stood nearly alone among my critical brethren in disliking Funeral. I found it too pent-up, too pretentious and too obtuse in all the wrong places. I had a hard time wrapping my head around it, and I dismissed...
