Yu-Gi-Oh! Le film: La pyramide de lumière

Yu-Gi-Oh! The movie was very cool and fun to watch. It was animated Japan and had the animations of the anime and character designs but the story is American and doesn't follow the Japanese version with that is OK. The voice acting is really good and I enjoyed the story of it did really good as Yami Yugi as all the other actors, the version is cropped from widescreen you can get the UK DVD and it would be in widescreen. If you are a Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan get this movie because it's really good. I really enjoyed it a lot and I think you would too. Also, the trading cards in the movie were allowed to be used in this film so they represent the US cards which was neat.

If you like Yu-Gi-Oh, you will enjoy this movie. I give Yu-Gi-Oh! The movie 8/10.

I remember seeing this for my friend's 13th birthday party. We were all huge yigioh fans and seeing yugioh on the silver screen was a dream come true, until we actually watched it. We went in the movie theater and we each got special yugioh cards. my friends got cool monster cards like blue eyes shining dragon or dark sorcerer. I got a pathetic trap card that I would never use. The movie didn't even start, and I was disappointed. For the movie, it was average. Some good parts, some bad parts and a lot of cheesy one liners. It's not bad as the people that give it a 1 say. Trust me, his is not a 1 star movie. Baby Geniuses was a 1 star movie. However the people that give this a 7 or 8 are also wrong. It assent as well written as the show and they did it include fan favorites like bandit keith or Mai valentine. Overall, it isn't bad, but it is not great.

I probably spent 5 minutes debating how many stars I should give this. =/ I have mixed emotions on this movie. The villain was horrible. And not horrible in a villainy sense. He was just plain sucktastic, and the whole basic idea behind this movie deviates from the original plot so much it isn't even funny. Yes, even in the Japanese version (though things do tend to make a little bit more sense in that one, and I would recommend finding a sub of it if you possibly can).

However, most people reading this will be viewing the English version, so I'll just stick to that. =3

The soundtrack was horrible, as is the soundtrack to the dubbed anime in general. The animation could have been better, due to the fact that they had waaay more than just one week to work on it, unlike the TV series episodes. But it wasn't the worst animation I've seen. It did look a bit pointier than usual, though. But the art is kind of pointy in general.

Now... I still recommend this for anybody who is a fan of the series. It's so horrible, it's great to mock and laugh at. But it also has some highly amusing quotes and character interactions. And some of the new monsters are pretty spiffy as well. It's so stupid it's hilarious, and the sheer hilarity of it is doubled for any fan who sees it.

Heck, I think I was rolling even in the first scene. XD

(Though, there was no excuse for them leaving out Bakura yet AGAIN. Poor kid never gets any screen time.)

Way to waste your time EmSee! It is completely obvious that this movie is for fans of the show only. But there is no way that it could possibly be considered a good movie.

First, the damn thing polarizes audiences. The only people who will WANT to see it are young kids and deluded anime fans. Good movies appeal to a broad range of people. Good movies will continued to be celebrated among future generations.

Secondly, I don't care about your nostalgic memories of the Transformers movie. I remember the Yogi-Bear movie from when I was a tot, but that doesn't make it a good movie. I will never forget Manos, and it will never be good.

Yu-Gi-Oh is just a marketing tool to exploit kids that are into the fad, and the various overgrown anime fans. The kids will grow out of this and forget about it, while the anime fans of low taste will never let it go because it is a masterful work of DRAMA and CREATIVITY! (I.E. Better than anything they could come up with, which isn't much)

Objectively it's a bad movie, but it has so much charm. Also it has so funny moments and a really good sound track. So if you look at it critically it's garbage, however if you're looking for a fun movie this is the one. It felt like it had so much soul and so much love put into it.
