Starz has announced the movie and TV titles that will be available on the service in December. The Starz December 2024 schedule includes new episodes of Outlander Season 7 Part 2 all month long.

On the film front, Borderlands, Renfield, The Fabelmans, Midas, Polite Society, and several other notable titles will be joining the Starz app this month. This month, the app will feature a special collection, “Franchise Frenzy,” featuring titles from The Bourne series, The Chronicles of Riddick, Blair Witch, Divergent, and Ghostbusters, among others.

To get you through the holidays, Starz has a thrilling week of action-packed titles that are more naughty than nice, including The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Jurassic World Dominion: Extended Version, the Divergent trilogy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Cocaine Bear, and more.

Britney Spears wrote extensively about her relationships with Justin Timberlake and Colin Farrell in her memoir The Woman in Me. She also wrote a song that was seemingly inspired by both of them.

The 41-year-old pop star broke up with the Nsync singer in 2002 and was briefly linked to Colin the following year. Her album In the Zone, out in late 2003, had a B-side on it that finds her seemingly singing about both men.

In a resurfaced podcast interview, Britney‘s collaborator, Joshua Schwartz, opened up about the steamy song and recalled conversations with the pop star while they were working on it and other tracks together.

Juliette Schrameck, the well-respected former managing director of MK2 Films who joined Paris-based collective banner Agat Films in September 2020 as partner and producer, has already assembled a strong roster of international projects, including the next film by Lukas Dhont, the helmer of Cannes’ Golden Camera winning “Girl,” and Jenny Suen’s “Peaches.”

Other projects on Schrameck’s development slate include “Eat the Night,” a genre film by Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel, “We Are All Strangers” by Anthony Chen and “Holly” by Fien Troch.

“Peaches,” a Hong Kong-set remake of “Daisies,” the 1966 Czech political comedy drama by Věra Chytilová, is being co-produced by Cate Blanchett and Coco Francini at Dirty Films U.S. and U.K. and Justine O in Taiwan. Suen is a Hong Kong filmmaker who made her feature debut with “The White Girl” (co-directed by Christopher Doyle), which premiered at the BFI fest.

They join Ruairi O’Connor, the Spanish Princess star, earlier tapped to play Holly, the rock ‘n’ roll pioneer who, along with Ritchie Valens, J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson and pilot Roger Peterson, died in a plane crash outside a snowy Clear Lake, Iowa, on Feb. 3, 1959.

The film will tell the story of a German-Iranian geriatric nurse. The director behind short films Under 13, Seoul, Holly, and Cheesy Films is now ready to make her feature debut with Nico. The film, which marks Eline Gehring’s graduation from the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (Dffb), will center on a cheerful German-Iranian geriatric nurse who suddenly comes face to face with the level of xenophobia around her. While enjoying summer in Berlin with her friend Rosa, she is the victim of an attack that shatters her self-confidence and alters her everyday life. She decides that self-empowerment is the only way to fight xenophobia. Sara Fazilat, who penned the script together with director Eline Gehring and Francy Fabritz, will star in the title role. The cast of the upcoming feature also includes Javeh Asefdjah, Sara Klimoska and Andreas Marquard. Nico is being produced by the German Film.

The Emmy Awards ballot for Best Drama Writing lists 240 episodes (from 147 series), so there will be seven nominees in this category for the first time since 1987, per the new rules. The six nominees last year were:

Another Goldie Hawn movie is set for a remake. Two weeks after the announcement that Jennifer Lopez would take over Hawn's role in an "Overboard" redo, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Anna Faris has been cast in the title role for a "Private Benjamin" update in development at New Line.

And while the studio's other training-program-set '80s remake, "Police Academy," is sure to poke lots of fun at law enforcement, this new "Private Benjamin" will be a more respectful handling of the armed forces than one might expect. Actress Anna Faris ("The House Bunny") will star in a New Line/Warners remake of the 1980 comedy feature "Private Benjamin", that intends to recruit more women into the armed forces.

Premise of the original film followed 'Judy Benjamin', who joins the Army after her husband dies during sex on their wedding night.

"Private Benjamin" received three Oscar nominations, including Best Actress for Hawn, Best Supporting Actress for Eileen Brennan and Best Original Screenplay.

The new film, produced by Mark Gordon ("Army Wives"), from a screenplay by Amy Talkington ("Brave New Girl"), will set the story in contemporary times with 'modern wars' as the backdrop.

LONDON -- Granada International, the U.K.-based sales arm for Granada, said Wednesday it has sealed a television movie output deal with News Corp.'s Asian broadcasting arm STAR. The multiyear agreement will see STAR take exclusive pay TV rights to 45 made-for-TV movies produced by Granada America. Titles include Widow on the Hill starring James Brolin, the Melanie Griffith starrer Lethal Seduction and Brave New Girl, which stars recent Oscar nominee Virginia Madsen. Several movies in the package are still to be made, Granada said. All output will air on pay TV channel STAR Movies, which is available in 33 million homes across Asia. The deal was announced by Granada International managing director Nadine Nohr and brokered by the London-based company's vp of Asia sales George Sakkalli.
