'Chef' gets to grilling with webisodes
The first fruit of the original content partnership between Ben Silverman's Reveille and MSN, Chef to the Rescue, debuted Monday on Microsoft's online network. Reveille and MSN announced the one-year partnership this month. Chef episodes run about three minutes and not only will be online, but also can be downloaded to mobile phones and other devices. Cat Cora, co-host of Food Network's Kitchen Accomplished, stars in the Kraft Foods-sponsored series, which features recipes, cooking tips and expert answers to questions along with other opportunities for audience interaction. Although banner ads serve their purpose, MSN said sponsorship like this is more targeted and immersive, making them a more valuable use of marketing dollars.
