'Pet Rocks' was an experiment by Penthouse at making a new type of video. Combining real music with naked ladies. They went and set up their own record label at the time and gave a contract to a band called the "Sex Monks". Their music runs the entire length of this video. You won't call this effort your favorite, but its not bad.
These facts I didn't know at the time when I picked up this video for purchase. I was purely interested in this title because it featured my favorite Penthouse Pet Julie K. Smith. She's in this a bunch. If you're a fan of hers - take note. Box cover features pornstar Taylor Wane, but she is not here.
Standard montage intro and then we settle down with two Pets (Julie K, Alex Taylor) in a hallway which is pretty good. Plenty of close-ups. Next comes a scene worth mentioning with Stacy Moran wearing a orange cutoff top that barely contains her large breasts. Crashes an apartment that is obviously not hers. Getting naked, trying on the male owners clothes and taking Polaroid pictures of herself.
More Julie! One segment has her playing an unfulfilled wife. The lead singer of the band portrays her husband. No touching - strictly posing. Julie reappears next in a leather dominatrix scene then its a stripclub number (band members are the audience) with two other ladies. Lastly in the finale where ladies act as band techs setting up instruments, fake singing, playing guitar and getting naked in sometimes silly fashion.
I focused on Julie K. Smith for my review naturally, but besides her and another fav Pet in Stacy Moran there's a bunch of familiar faces here. All the scenes weren't winners, but the abundance of my favorite model can't be denied.
