Beyond the shadow of doubt, the Night Patrol II is massive when it comes to visual effects and can be definitely put in the same league with some of the Hollywood BBs. Actors also do a good job. Chadov is wonderful, as usual; Friske is surprisingly excellent; Khabensky and Menshov are up to their level, and Tyunina is absolutely stunning, while Maklakov is just hilarious and definitely top of my list. As expected, plot is kinda weak when compared to the book (but of course), though not as disastrous as one could expect. Introducing some of the historical figures was a bit arrogant but it nevertheless paid off, what surprised me. All in all, THE Russian blockbuster so far. A definite MUST for those who love Russian movies.
