One Of The Best Telenovelas On Telemundo To Date, Great!

Telemundo has done it once again. "Da Cor do Pecado", or "El Color Del Pecado" as it's known here in the states is wonderful. I would watch this 'soap' over any American soap today. You find yourself constantly pulling for the main characters Preta (Tais Araujo) and Paco (Reynaldo Gianecchini), to finally get together, once and for all. The 'villain' Barbara is worse than Erica Kane and Adam Chandler put together. I am glued to my VCR (I set my tape for channel 47, Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m.-11:31 a.m.), and try never to miss even one show. This is one telenovela truly worth watching. Can't wait to see how it ends. Ms. Araujo and Mr. Gianecchini are fabulous together. They should be very proud of their work.

One of the best soap operas" El color del pecado" Great

My mom and myself used to excitedly wait for the soap opera to start, we liked the story, there was only one part that we did not like and that was when Petra's friend the magician was playing his role. Other then that the story was excellent, the cast, the scenario and the characters.. I give it an A++++++++++++++ I wish there are more soap operas like these, and I wish the same actors are on it. The music was also a great complement to the story. I am now waiting for Telemundo to come out with another Brazilian soap opera like this one. A lot of people watched this soap opera and we loved to comment after we watched it.

A regular soap opera.

For those who enjoy a soap opera, Brazil is fertile ground, as the overwhelming majority of general TV channels in the country transmit, on average, four soap operas daily. Invariably, much of this material eventually goes around the world, being bought and broadcast in other countries. One of the most permeable markets for Brazilian teledramaturgy is, of course, my country, due to its cultural and linguistic proximity. I watched "Da Cor do Pecado" twice, the first when it debuted in Portugal around 2004, and the second was about a year ago when it was reprised.

The plot focuses on the amorous triangle formed around Paco Lambertini, the heir of a great fortune led by his lonely father, Afonso. He was engaged to the calculating and ambitious Barbara when, on a trip to Northeast Brazil, he met and fell in love with Preta, a poor but honest girl. The soap opera is fairly regular, satisfying but without bringing anything new or different. Taís Araújo was excellent in the main character, along with Reynaldo Gianecchini. Giovanna Antonelli was a regular villain. Still worthy of mention are the appearances of Rosi Campos, Lima Duarte and Aracy Balabanian.

I love this soap opera

I started watching this soap because a friend in Italy wanted me to help her taping some of the episodes and I just got bewitched with the plot and acting that I can no longer miss it. Now that I am watching it, lost track of my friend, but I thank her the suggestion of this wonderful work. Watching this Brazilian operas, and I have watched a few, along with some other ones from Chile, Colombia, etc. make me turn disgusted with the poor quality Mexican, and I must include Spanish speaking operas too from Telemundo and Univision. We need more quality, not just feed the people more of the same trash. Somebody said, "Feed them trash and soon they will think is wonderful!" Verinha, Thanks for your advice! Pablo
