Dan Oniroku: Shûdô onna nawa jigoku

A woman enters a convent and the sisterhood after an incident with her married lover. The convent is a little more progressive than you would expect. Then a writer that supports the convent shows the real reason for giving that support. Based on a Oniroko Dan story. That's really the entire story although I purposely didn't give away the latter part which is just a continuation of that story.

This is a Roman Porno which means there is nudity, sex scenes and S&M/bondage. There are more of these scenes than nearly every Roman porno I have seen. But it should be said, the nudity doesn't show anything explicit. In fact my DVD even had modern fogging so I am presuming you see less than the original release. Now as for the S&M and bondage, that is more intense than most of these films. Some erotic, some not.

Where this film is weak is the story. There is some, just not much. The intensity of the scenes does make up for it. That is what makes this movie move along. It is just that a more interesting story would make a more interesting movie.

I will say it was a good movie. Though if you are not interested in the sex or bondage scenes you will not like this film at all. It just was not a great movie.

This nunsploitationer delivers on all fronts. Lesbian nuns? Check! Sexual violence? Check! Rope bondage? Check! Of course it would, since it's based on a novel by smutmeister Dan Oniroku. All that and some nice coastal scenery as well, would love to know where it was filmed. While it doesn't rise to the heights of "School of the Holy Beast", it's definitely worth checking out for pink fans.

I recently watched the Japanese exploitation film 🇯🇵 Nun in Rope Hell (1984) on a random streaming service. The storyline follows a confused nun, caught with a lover, who decides to seek refuge in a nunnery - only to discover that the priest there has devious bondage plans to "correct" her urges.

This film is directed by Katsuhiko Fujii (Skin of Roses) and stars Miki Takakura (Rope Torture), Asami Ogawa (Attacked!), Hiromi Yamaguchi (Colors of Sisterhood), and Hiroshi Unayama (High and Low).

Nun in Rope Hell is packed with nudity from start to finish. Highlights include an elite opening sequence, a wild car scene, a solid shower sequence, creative use of a remote control, and intense licking scenes. There's also plenty of masturbation depicted. The background sound effects are strong throughout, adding to the film's atmosphere. Overall, it's a showcase of creative bondage softcore concepts and devices.

In conclusion, Nun in Rope Hell delivers everything you would expect - and then some - from a female bondage exploitation film. I would score it a 7/10 and strongly recommend it if it's your kind of thing.
