Best Indian remake of The Godfather..

This film rocks. It is possibly the best Indian remake of the Godfather and I believe that Mr. Ram Gopal Verma's Sarkar is a copy of this film. It has fantastic performances by Govinda, Dharmendra, and all others. The film opens with an introduction to our characters and then shapes up pretty good. Even the songs are a pleasure to listen to.

This movie was released in that phase of Indian Cinema when this genre was not as popular. Sure, it may not have the frills and the sophistication that other movies in the genre have, but this movie is pure entertainment!

I liked this movie so much that I have ordered a DVD so that I can watch it again and again.

Way ahead of its time...

One of the most underrated movies of bollywood, supposingly due to its title which sounds like most of the typical 90's baseless action movies. But, surprisingly it has a very good script, story, background music, direction & acting. Govinda in an intense role is a treat to watch and the way movie unfolds, you will feel it was way ahead of its time. The only drawback is its title, a better title could have made it be counted among the bollywood classics like Sholay.

Indian Godfather

Best adaptation of The Godfather in India. Even better than Sarkar. Period. Govinda is one of the greatest actors India has ever produced.

superb screenplay

No doubt this movie scores better than any other movie which we see today i.e. In year 2022, Title is misleading, however don't be fooled by its name as the storyline is very nice and Govinda without any second thought has acted superbly.
