This move had potential, but didn't quite make the grade. I was hopeful when I read the cover of the DVD case. But, unfortunately, the directing was kinda bad. Some scenes had nothing to do with the movie at all and was a waste of time to even include. Such as the Joe Torry part. Maybe Joe simply wanted a more prominent part so they threw him a bone. But in doing so, it messed up the flow of the movie. Not that the flow was all that great before. I really hate to see a potentially good movie go to crap simply because of mistakes like bad editing and directing. I really feel this movie could've been good, otherwise. Instead, it ends up being so-so.
i felt like watching a comedy, and i already knew what to expect of vivica))i was not disappointed. in all her roles to date she is very expressive on screen, sometimes in a wacky way, but always very entertaining. for any fans of her like myself you will NOT be disappointed. i can not believe this woman is way over 40 years old! same goes for Stacey Dash( if seen the recent movie "i could never been your woman", she has a high school teenager role and plays besides Michelle Pfeiffer which herself looks great at 40+, but still Stacey is jaw-breaking for ANY age). i can easily see how their looks and ATTITUdES here could get some women jealous of them))), but looks aside, Vivica A. Fox has always proved an actress that gets in her role well or very well( sometimes "over the top" but for a comedy that is expected and wishful at times). to sum it up here, she is so "entretainingly annoying".)) from the middle part to the end i was off the chair laughing.))))also the comedian Sheryl Underwood has a 5 minutes cameo as a stand up comedian, very funny.
OK, enough about her for now. this production has some clichés( less then expected for me, and the "feminist" issues do HAVE TWSISTS that should please everyone, or at least not annoy )( also a couple of remarks for "desired" people that have to "be" wealthy, yucksss). the only problem i found here is Bill Bellamy. i do not think he can act( or maybe is my perception of him because he getting jiggly with "my" sexy, big eyes Vivica A. Fox????hehehehe).anyhow if his character would have had been played by Jamie Foxx this might have been better then "booty call",yet another movie that has the score UNDER 5, and on which matter i can not see or understand why...they are both very as comedies based on situations and HILARIOUS at that as well.also the title, for a change makes perfect sense.
i give it 8 star because , as i said, i got what i was looking for and MORE.if i wanted to watch a thriller obviously this would have got 1 star, you get my drift.))recommended for young "wacky" couples that want to have some "jelousy " pillow fights.

While there are other movies that represent these actors in a better light I did get a few laughs viewing this movie. My adult children watched with me and they could name a few ladies who fit the bill of the three characters---and that's too bad. The sound track was enjoyable, the costumes (clothes) were realistic and the comic was funny. The friend Josh is entertaining. But,there certainly will not be even a little rush to the DVD rentals by many to get this movie. The movie obviously was an attempt by the director to rush through a project--let's hope he is not remembered for this one. And, let's hope the actors/actresses did not count on this one to be the big one for their careers.
I feel like I may have wasted 84 min of my life. The acting in this movie was so bad. AND THE DIRECTING!!! OMG!! Why do I need to watch people talk from sun up to sun down. I felt like slitting my wrist! If you are contemplating watching this movie....SAVE YOURSELF!! And why is Carmen Electra in this movie? Why is she in any movie? Did this movie go straight to DVD? Okay, okay let me find the rainbow in it all...Gabrielle Union wasn't in it. Isn't she always in bad movies like this one? Oh and surprisingly, Stacy Dash wasn't the worst part of this film. I think the only other time I felt this way is when I stumbled across the movie Booty Call. Hmmm Vivica was in both of movies..coincidence, I think not!
The reviews don't do this film justice; it's a very enjoyable, light-hearted comedy. It's like a 1930s screwball, but with more sex. Yet, there ends up being a real sweetness about it too.
I watched this for Joan Jett's gal pal Carmen Electra- whom really reminds me of Joan in some ways- and whom I'm quite fond of myself- but I ended up liking everyone in it! The big surprise here was Kathy Najimi as the therapist. Being the "Sister Act" (1992) and "Hocus Pocus" (1993) fan that I am, that was a real treat!
Recommended for anyone who just wants to chill with a fun, midnight movie.

- GoofsWhen Andrea is setting up the camera, she moves a picture to the right to reveal a camera, in which she sets to record. As she leaves the room in the next scene, without her moving it, the picture is conveniently placed in-front of the camera to conceal it while Mark goes to play music.
