I agree with the previous review, that the Sleepover Club is so bad its entertaining.
The acting is pretty bad. Particularly that of "Fliss", who cannot act at all. She is also the least likable character imaginable.
The story lines are typical, corny stories, where the 'SOC's' are the heroes and everything works out OK.
As awful as the acting, as cheesy as the stories and as TERRIBLE as the theme tune may be, the show is actually entertaining. Of course, I watch it to laugh, but find myself watching it a lot. At least its entertaining, that is the purpose. Just maybe not entertaining in the way that it was intended.

When i first had a look at this show i was skeptical. However, i found this quite enjoyable. Yes it is not exactly working the brain, however, the quirky plot lines, quick wit and good acting make this show worthwhile.
The characters are typical early teen girls who have the whole one minute hate the next love boys thing going on, they have the normal problems with the parents and teachers and of course within themselves as well. This is what makes the show quite reasonably believable.
The acting is great! Eliza Taylor-Cotter and Ryan Corr are definitely stand-outs, however that is not to say that the others are weak. Quite on the contrary, all produce effortlessly realistic, sensitive dramatic and cleverly funny performances.
The clinch of the show though are the little skits; what happens in the girls imaginations. They are absolutely hilarious. It's quick witty and clever humor all rolled into one.
Overall a quite decent show.

Granted, it is not the best show in the world, but I can think of worse at the top of my head. I agree the narration can be irritating and perhaps unnecessary, some of the story lines are predictable(not surprising, I have seen plenty of shows similar to this that fall into that trap) and the actress of Fliss is not great at all.
However, it is strikingly filmed, and has a great theme song. The writing is amusing, and the characters while somewhat clichéd are likable with nice personalities(ie. Kenny being a tomboy-ish sort of person), especially Rosie, and Caitlin Stasey as Frankie is an appealing actress and does a good job as leader of the group. And I love the quirky and hilarious little skits that are part of the girls' thoughts.
In conclusion, pretty undemanding but not too bad. 7/10 Bethany Cox

I read a rather bad comment of a person who's most clearly too old for that series ... please, if that'a all too light and easy for you just stop watching it! I think it's just delighting entertainment, and as such is much better that the same kind of series from the US. The actresses are cute, stories are common, not original, but OK. I think sometimes they loose their focus on that "sleepover" idea, but on the other side I missed the first half of the first season ... that might have changed ... (I didn't recognize that girl from the Pirates' series, which by the way {I wasn't allowed to shorten that ... "junk word"?!} was much more stupid!!!)
This programme was not designed for me. Nevertheless, I feel obliged to comment because I have just been forced by a relation to sit through half-an-hour of it, and I honestly cannot recall a more painful 30 minutes in my life. The 'plot' is based around four female friends who seem to have a fetish of spending every night together alternating between each other's rooms (hence the title) while encountering the usual Teenage Dilemmas at school including boys, puberty, exams.. etc. But through their shared love for each other in this close-knit group, they overcome all obstacles in their path, because after all.. THAT'S WHAT GROWING UP IS ALL ABOUT!! (Pardon me, while I go and throw up)..
Diabolical acting, irritating narration, trite moralising, pathetic attempts at humour.. this abysmal effort has the lot, and then some. And even if I was a 14 year old girl, I would feel insulted at being force-fed sappy messages while getting no entertainment value in return. So if you enjoy a bit of healthy sermonising delivered by a bunch of young ladies with cotton wool for brains, this will be right up your alley. Otherwise, steer well clear.. 1/10
