Not having read the books by Mordecai Richler, I was unfamiliar with the series until it appeared on Qubo. I tended to overlook it in favor of the cartoon series with which I was more familiar -- Veggie Tales, 3-2-1 Penguins. However, since the program airs daily on one of the HDTV stations owned by ION television, I warmed to the show rapidly.

Jacob's adventures are often bizarrely exaggerated. While his family is fairly normal and presented in a balanced fashion, other characters, from neighbors to school staff to "master" criminals, are hilariously over-the-top.

The animation is a fascinating and seamless blend of drawn animation and computer animation. The characters were apparently drawn once and every time a character appears, he has the same exact hair and face, line by line. The backgrounds and settings are charmingly sketchy and look like water-colors out of a picture book.

The voice-acting is top-notch. My favorites are Harvey Atkin as Jacob's dad, and Fiona Reid as Miss Sourpickle. Harvey is a valued and recognizable character actor who appeared regularly on 'Cagney and Lacey'. Jacob's dad is a wise but daffy author of kid's adventure novels. Fiona Reid is new to me, but her performance is clever and nuanced.

Billy Rosemberg voices Jacob, and is utterly charming. Jacob is a doe-eyed, adorable kid who must overcome his fears in order to protect his tenuous rights as the youngest member of his family.

It is fortunate that there are so many episodes of this series in the can. I haven't seen all of them, and every new episode is eagerly enjoyed. I'll look forward to having this one on DVD (someday?).

It is rare that a cartoon series revolves around a Jewish kid (from CANADA, yet!). "Jacob Two-Two" is a delight.

One of the BEST kids movies EVER!!

Having read the book "Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang" when I was a kid, I was a little apprehensive about seeing the movie. I was pleasantly surprised when the movie delivered everything that the book did. It was a great way to recapture a few moments of my youth.

It is a great way to introduce the TV series to the world and I think that current fans of Jacob and even people who don't know who Jacob is would equally like this movie.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who just wants to have fun or to teach their children that even though we may be afraid of something it might not be as scary as we think it is!

    What a great show!

Unique, painting-style animation that reflects humor and the specialness of Montreal. Fun stories--- as you watch it, you feel constantly surprised by the level of its clever dialogue, beautiful animation, and just how much fun it is! This is soooooooo much better than typical children's programming. As a 39 year old artist, I love it! This show seems to ignore all the rules about what is required for commercial success. It is creative, moral, funny, and unique. WOW is all I can say. I can't wait until it is available for purchase.

Parents, this is a great show for kids, but you will also enjoy watching it. Highly, highly recommended. Give it a try and you will be hooked.

A break from all the violence is right here.

Take a look at your children. no. never mind. take a look at this show, first.

Jacob-two-two, a little boy in a big family, doesn't get as much respect as the dog-crap you just stepped in today. he has to say things twice to be heard. even then, no one respects him - except his ever so wise father. and a few other people. such as his outcast friends - Beaufort, the school idiot, and Renee, another nerd. along each adventure, Jacob runs into his evil principal, Mr greedyguts, Leo, the cheap janitor, and his teacher, miss sourpickles, plus a few other people as well.

Jacob-two-two isn't as good as the real thing - the books. and the 1970's movies. watch and read those firsthand so you understand what goes on in Jacob's world. or more likely, what happens to him in Montreal. just watch it. it's better than the violence on TV these days.

Pretty Good, I said Pretty good.

JTT was a pretty good show. It was based on the books.

JTT had a short lived run, still It was a good show. It was about a little boy who says things twice. He lives in a unique world filled with abnormal people and adventure.

The animation for 2003 was unique and was done well. The stories were fun and filled with surprises. JTT as the little child of the show carried this show very well.

What can be learned? Sometimes people can't hear you because you are little. Its not cool. Yet That doesn't mean you lack heart and passion.

Verdict: A good show. I said A GOOD SHOW!!
