Now this is gross entertainment!

I need to be honest. I watched and enjoy this show because it was gross, offensive, hilarious, and raunchy. Yeah, there is a lot of humor for all tastes. If you are into the kind of humor that deals with making fun of people falling from skateboards, for example then you will have a great time for it.

Or, if you enjoy people on extreme stunt actions going bad, you will also have a great time. And if you enjoy scatological humor and extreme situations oh , you will enjoy the show.

I enjoy all three kinds of humor that "Dirty Sànchez" offers. I like to have a hard laugh with the situations of the show. "Jackass" is like a walk in the park compared to this one. So if you are tired of the typical American stupidity of Jackass, give it a try to English extreme stupidity on this show. With all due respect.

This is a show that has little taste or class. It's not recommended for those who are easily offended or grossed out.

Now, these guys need to see a psychologist. Specially the Paco character.

Gloriously gross out humour

Many people when writing about 'Dirty Sanchez' compare it to 'Jackass', both being, by and large the same type of show. The main comments seem either to be 'It's a Jackass rip-off', or, 'Far more extreme than Jackass'. Both do have equal stances on the show. Not many people have heard of the show, let alone seen it. It came from a much smaller company than the goliaths of MTV, and was pushed to the 1 o'clock in the morning slot by channel 4. maybe appropriately, you may think, after watching the show.

The show comes from the current skateboarder trend for this type of humour: People with a healthy disregard for themselves, messing around. However, Dirty Sanchez's stunts are much more extreme than anyone would care to try, and yes, I will say it, more extreme than 'Jackass'. Stapling your ear to a piece of wood, lowering your posterior onto a floor covered in drawing pins, rolling around in stinging nettles, and playing extreme ice hockey in the nude are all your average sort of stunt. The stunts all have a feeling of 'no going back'; once one of the four man strong crew of daredevils has decided to do a stunt, they go ahead, and regret it later. They often will do a stunt, only to realise a few seconds later that it was more painful than they imagined (one fine example of this is seeing Pritchard skate down an ice rink, before dropping on to his bare rear end, only to realise a few seconds later that it was taking his skin off, and desperately trying to prop himself up on his arms)- The dynamic between the four men-three welsh skateboarders, and one southerner-Is a complex one. they are all friends, and yet all treat each other in a way that borders on the ruthless. an example is a time when one of the guys gets sprayed in the eye, and is trying to wash it out, not realising that one of the others is adding washing powder to his hands, and effectively blinding him all the more. You do wonder what holds them together- Pancho, the shorter one, has a tendency to go into very deep sleeps, giving much scope for practical jokes. the Southerner, (I think it's Dan Joyce) is more reserved, less prepared to go into the really strong stunts. Pritchard has a rather large obsession with going naked, nudity being another central theme to the show. The last Welshman, (I think it's Dainton) is the more crueller of the group, always the instigator of the harsher practical jokes.

Upon viewing, one thing which may turn people off is the way the show is put together. It suffers from fairly poor editing, (Although I know it is shot on quite amateur cameras, but it still doesn't excuse it being put together badly) It lacks the coherency of 'Jackass', cutting back and forth between interviews with the cast, family and friends of the people involved, and the stunts themselves. However, Although I often like to think that my comedy tastes are more refined, I have to admit that shows like this often make me laugh like a kid. The silly way that they injure themselves so willingly just manages to be funny when you are not the one doing it. So, I can say, put your hands together, and pray, for 'Dirty Sanchez'.

way more funny than jackass

Dirty Sanchez is the more extreme, British version of Jackass in which the four boys (Pritchard, Dainton, Joycey and Pancho) go to great lengths to hurt and humiliate each other. The reason this show is better than Jackass is because most of the stunts are not planned which makes the reaction much more funny. There are 3 series of the show, the first follows them around and takes a long look at their lives eg. there's an episode on their love lives, jobs etc. The second series sends the boys to try out different occupations. The third follows their European tour. It seems that the boys get more and more daring as the show progresses through the series. In my opinion the third series is the best, but trust me when i say, if you have a week stomach DO NOT WATCH, as you are lightly to see a fair amount of blood and puke in every episode.

Not my scene but WAY better than Jackass

I have to say although I despise these kind of shows, shock horror, I'm a girl, I feel I have to express my opinion. I had seen Dirty Sanchez before I saw Jackass and think it way surpasses Jackass in terms of programme making. Story lines and interviews are inter weaved to create a more interesting show. I saw a few minutes of Jackass movie the other night and couldn't believe how poorly put together it was, everything just put in a line joke after joke with no relation between anything. It must have been the quickest easiest show to edit ever, shockingly amateur. While drinking puke isn't really my thing, as far as a substantial entertainment show goes, Dirty Sanchez is way out of Jackass's league.

Very funny!

This is my second favorite extreme show right after Jackass (If we don't count local shows in different countries).

It's less varied than Jackass, and it mostly shows the four guys just inventing different way to torture each other in the most rude ways possible. So there aren't any big stunts here.

But it's very, very funny. And the interaction between the guys is great: It's easy to see that they really good friends, despite the fact that they seem to treat each other like trash all the time.

This is not for people, who are easily provoked. There is plenty of full frontal nudity, rude language and just plain sick stuff going on. But it also has a positive overall vibe, and it's all very humorous.

Definitely worth checking out.

Dirty Sanchez-tastless brilliance!

dirty Sanchez is one of the shows that from first glance you know-it's British! The gang of 3 Welsh wollies and a cockney that has unique tastes, the show is pure greatness! The stunts are real stunts (jumping of roofs, frozen lake swimming and the quickest way to remove a fish hook from your ear)! The shock value is real shock with Joyce eating a pube pizza, drinking the anti-pint and him messing with "playful" horses. The pain battle between Dainton and Prich is better every episode and then there's Pancho(a.k.a. Mike Locke), this fool is the runt of the disturbed litter and for the reasons of being 4ft-2", drinking like it's air and falling asleep at anytime with generally results in a horrible-yet extremely amusing prank at his expense. I have the first DVD series and have sent all of "Jobs for the Boyohs-series 2" and think its even better that CKY. If you love this type of Jackass mindset-Sanchez is an all new ballgame. 10/10 a must-see series!

Better than Jackass

Don't watch this is you are at all squeamish. Or a woman. This is man's stuff.

Dirty Sanchez does go further than Jackass in terms of stunts, but that is not all. The characters in it are a lot more personable. You feel like you get to know them as the series goes on. Not that you would want to know them in real life! Pritchard and Dainton are simply psychos, trying to better each other and go further every time. Pancho is not far off them. He certainly betters them at drinking. Dan Joyce, on the other hand, keeps away from the more painful aspects - just watching and laughing - but seems to take joy in using his bodily fluids for different reasons. Is this the difference between Wales and England?

While some stunts are stomach churning (staple through ear, burning match in penis, pube-pizza) and painful (naked paintballing) some are just funny, like what they put a passed out Pancho through every night.

This is a must watch for anyone who has seen and enjoyed Jackass. I guarantee that you will prefer Dirty Sanchez.

Jackass is tame against Dirty Sanchez

I hadn't seen this show but I've heard stuff about it and it's really crude. I mean a guy pierced his penis and an other guy pierced his scrotum. They are wild and hurt each other a lot I mean Pancho fell asleep and they shaved the top of his head. Puke and Pubic hair pizza was kinda wild, someguy talking a bath with worms and a guy puking on his face is way too much. Jackass fans will love it, I loved Jackass but this one got too extreme at times.

Less funny than Jackass

I have to differ with the other commenters here and say that Dirty Sanchez is not only less original and less varied, but also less clever and much less funny than Jackass. Jackass was primarily a comedy/prank show which occasionally used painful/degrading/humiliating stunts as a vehicle for the comedy. The mos sidesplitting bits in Jackass (the dildo in the trousers, Daddy & baby, visiting Mianus, senile kleptomaniac) often involved nobody getting hurt or puked upon. Dirty Sanchez, by contrast, is primarily a stunt show where the guys try to hurt and disgust themselves and each other as much as possible. The consequent laughs appear almost incidental. In this aspect, Dirty Sanchez is more similar to the duller bits in Jackass the Movie, right down to the endless and unjustified guffawing of the guys at their own unfunny jokes. In Jackass everything is far more structured and planned out, and clearly a lot more thought went into it. The difference in intelligence is striking. Perhaps it's simply the smaller budget of the Welsh program, but I doubt it.
