Chocolate com Pimenta (2003)

Trivia

Chocolate com Pimenta

Edit
According to Laura Cardoso, the cast would often end up crack up laughing while filming their more comedic scenes to the point filming had to be interrupted.
Osmar Prado found inspiration to his redneck/inland accent in his own father who lived in São Paulo's rural area.
Costume designer Lessa de Lacerda researched in his own family album for the 1920 clothing. He also had two assistants available whenever hand-made hats and embroidery, strongly used at the time, were needed.
An actual girl, Sarah Maciel, portrays Bernadete in her younger face, before years go by and Kayky Brito appears as the character.
The second time Mariana Ximenes portrays a character publicly humiliated by having something thrown upon her, after Sandy & Junior Especial (1998). Fernanda Paes Leme's character pranks her in that Christmas special, while her brother Ângelo Paes Leme performs the prank in this series. Both sequences, of course, make reference to Carrie au bal du diable (1976).
