The Man Who Invented the Moon

Cute short film

I saw this film at the St. Louis Film-maker's Showcase, and was immediately impressed by its technical fortitude and superb (for the budget) special effects. The story was a tad bit too hackneyed for my liking, but the actors and actresses did well with the material they were presented. If you're an aspiring short film-maker, you could do worse than to watch this film for a few pointers.

IMDb requires at least 10 lines so... As far as visual content goes, the film employed a varying swatch of colors throughout... very Wes Anderson-ish. AND the Abe Lincoln guy was on Zoolander, so you really can't go wrong there.

Probably the best shot film I've seen

This flick was absolutely incredible. Saw it at a St.Louis film festival. Definitely the toast of the show and my personal favorite. Very well shot, well acted... just an all around amazing film. I am still looking for a way to buy this film so I can show it to others. It was that good. If anyone has any idea where to buy this movie, I would be interested. What more can be said? I found nothing wrong with this film at all. Nothing. I believe I read somewhere that the budget for this movie was $9,000. They could've fooled me. If I were to invest in a director, John Cabrera would be my choice because he has definitely displayed a keen skill to make money go far. Awesome, awesome.

Very original and greatly done.

A friend of mine gave me the movie to watch, to get an idea of how well the Panasonic DVX100 can look, but I was amazed by the movie itself.

The story was touching and comical, the acting was real and appealing, the directing was very well done. The use of color contrasts was brilliant, and the simplicity of the characters very endearing. The story was very original and creative, I rather enjoyed the characters and their performances were great. This movie as a whole is a definite must see for just about anyone.

I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.
