Attention, MTV Generation, your ship has come in! Paramount+ is opening the floodgates to bring classic episodes of MTV Unplugged, VH1 Storytellers, and CMT Crossroads to the streaming platform. Over 50 episodes of MTV Unplugged were recently added, and there are dozens of episodes of VH1 Storytellers and CMT Crossroads to experience and explore.

According to Paramount+, many episodes “haven’t been available in 20+ years.” The MTV Unplugged offerings alone are a reason to consider getting a Paramount+ subscription, with iconic performances from bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Tori Amos, Staind, Korn, The Cranberries, Aerosmith, Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, and more up for grabs. MTV Unplugged is a legendary series of performances in unique and intimate settings, typically with acoustic versions of classic songs performed for the first time.

According to a press release, many of the episodes “haven’t been available in 20+ years.” Coming from Seasons 1-8 and 10-13, the MTV Unplugged episodes include iconic performances from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Paul McCartney, Oasis, R.E.M., Alanis Morissette, Alice in Chains, and Bob Dylan.

Meanwhile, the VH1 Storytellers episodes are taken from Seasons 1-9, 11-13,15, and 16, featuring standouts like David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Alicia Keys, and Elton John.

Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ has already taken in more than $500 million at the box office, but a much smaller project related to the French fairytale is also finding viewers all over the world. “LeFouston,” a two-minute claymation video conceived by a 12-year-old boy recently surfaced at THR and has already received more than 150,000 views.

The video is inspired by “Beauty and the Beast” and presents an origin story of how Gaston and LeFou met. It even has an original song. Disney worked with the 12-year-old Robert Nelson as part of a campaign with Tongal and Young Storytellers that gave kids the chance to develop their own shorts inspired by the new film. Nelson’s mentors on the project included director and animator Kevin Ulrich, with music and voices by Trevor Gomes.

How did Gaston, the arrogant blowhard from Beauty and the Beast, originally meet up with his pipsqueak sidekick LeFou? According to 12-year-old writer Robert Nelson, it went a little something like this:

Not bad for a 12-year-old! THR says Nelson was part of an art project between Disney, a collective called Tongal, and a group called Young Storytellers that teamed creative young artists with mentors to create short films inspired by Beauty and the Beast. LeFouston was Robert's entry, which was animated by Tongal creator Kevin Ulrich and has music by Trevor Gomes. It's always cool to see kids have a chance to show off their creativity, so props to Disney and these other organizations for giving them an opportunity. Tribeca Film Festival heads announced on Monday the Tribeca Talks series of on-stage conversations and masterclasses.

Tribeca Talks: Directors Series includes on-stage conversations between Jon Favreau and Scarlett Johansson, in which the former will discuss feature films ranging from Swingers to Iron Man to The Jungle Book, and his foray into Vr with Gnomes & Goblins.

Alejandro González Iñárritu – one of three directors to win back-to-back Oscars and the only person to do so in 65 years – will talk about his career, while Dustin Hoffman will interview The Squid And The Whale director Noah Baumbach about his work.

The Tribeca Talks: Storytellers series features Bruce Springsteen in conversation with longtime friend Tom Hanks, and a live performance from Common following a conversation with filmmaker Nelson George.

Under the Tribeca Talks banner, the festival presents a talent-filled roster in discussion with leading creative voices across the entertainment industry. Bruce Springsteen will discuss his position in American rock history during an intimate conversation with Tom Hanks for the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. The event, set for Friday, April 28th at the Beacon Theater, is one of several newly announced "Tribeca Talks" scheduled throughout the festival.

Coldplay's Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Willie Nelson, Usher and Janelle Monáe have all signed on to take part in Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life – An All-Star Grammy Salute. VH1 is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its "VH1 Storytellers" franchise and has announced the line-up for their upcoming new season. Among the artists hitting the stage this year to deliver some of their best songs and stories are Kings of Leon and Cee Lo Green.

Kings of Leon will kick off the new season of "VH1 Storytellers" beginning in May. Also being featured with their own music specials are Cee Lo Green, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab For Cutie, Ray Lamontagne, and Maxwell.

People tend to either love or hate Kanye West, but the man has cemented himself a musical genius, a pop culture icon and — whether you like it or not — the loudest voice of our generation. So instead of doing the obligatory year-end-news-is-slow-we're-tired-and-going-on-vacation top 10 list, I have decided to list the top 10 moments in Kanye West for 2009 (And don't miss Kanye West's top moments in photos.)

Rose first appeared on the radar of many hip-hop fans for being the stand-out model in Ludacris' "Want Them Girls Like" video with her bizarrely beautiful blond Caesar.

Nine songs have been listed as offerings for those purchasing Kanye West's CD/DVD "VH1 Storytellers" on January 5. "See You in My Nightmares", "Robocop", "Say You Will" and "Amazing" are some of the tracks appearing on the list.

In addition, interview with Kanye concerning stories behind each song will be featured in it. The double set was filmed in February months before he was slammed for interrupting Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Previously, Kanye West's debut album "The College Dropout" was named by Entertainment Weekly as one of the 10 best albums of the decade. In response, the rapper who has avoided spotlight since the MTV VMAs incident wrote on his blog, "This is really flattering... i've had some ups and downs this year, well actually this decade. just seeing this cover takes me back to that time of my life.

Currently celebrating 40 years together, Texas rock trio Zz Top is the subject of a sparkling new "VH1 Storytellers" episode filmed at Chicago's Congress Theatre. The performance has the rockers with the well-known whiskers delighting audience members with classic tunes, wild stories and even overseeing the renewal of one couple's wedding vows.

In the "Storytellers" episode, lead vocalist and guitarist Gibbons tells tales of the bands early years and their journey on tour with Janis Joplin. Viewers can also hear the background stories behind hit songs "Just Got Paid," "Jesus Just Left Chicago," "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "Tush."

Not failing on their trademark scruffiness and candid lyrics, Zz Top enlightens viewers on the history behind their hit "La Grange." The song title is also the name of an infamous bordello and the inspiration for the "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" musical.

Zz Top celebrated their 40th anniversary in style with a taping of "VH1 Storytellers." The rock outfit, which includes all its original members, performed and revealed the stories behind hits like "Tush," "La Grange," "Just Got Paid," and "Jesus Just Left Chicago."

The performance was taped at Chicago's Congress Theatre on March 31st. In the special, the Texas trio answer questions from audiences members, reminisce about opening for Janis Joplin, share stories from video shoots, and more.

"VH1 Storytellers: Zz Top" premieres Saturday, June 27th on VH1. It'll also air on MTV's high definition network, Palladia, and VH1 Classic on July 4th.

David Bowie's televised set for VH1 Storytellers will get a CD/DVD and digital audio release this summer, it has emerged. The 1999 live performance will be released by Virgin/Emi on July 14 and will feature audio and video for the eight tracks from the show, together with four bonus videos not included on the original transmission. He had appeared before a selected audience on Friday, February 13 at Los Angeles' Sony Stages and his taped segment will be aired on VH1 Saturday, February 28 at 9/8c.

It is an hour long show that chronicles West's account on the songs in his latest-released album "808's & Heartbreak". He also did the favor of singing his past hits while giving an intro to each of them on what inspired him to write.

Rap superstar Kanye West is set to take the center stage on "VH1 Storytellers" later this month. The "Stronger" hitmaker had appeared before a selected audience last Friday to tape his segment.

The hour-long show chronicles his account on the tracks in his latest album 808s & Heartbreak. He revealed to viewers what inspired him to write his songs and even performed some of his past hits.

His episode will be aired on February 28.

"VH1 Storytellers" started in 1996, broadcasting rocker Ray Davies during his "Storyteller" tour. Past artists who came to share their stories on the show include Elton John, James Taylor, Rod Stewart, Ringo Starr, Coldplay, and Bruce Springsteen.

MTV Networks International (Mtvni) is launching its first international high-def service dedicated to music and kids. Meredith Bennett, Richard Dahm and Allison Silverman have been upped to co-executive producer status on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report.

The trio, who will have day-to-day oversight of the program, are essentially filling the void left by the departure of Ben Karlin, executive producer of Colbert and "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," who stepped down late last year but still serves as a consulting producer to both series.

Bennett, Dahm and Silverman have been with the news-spoof program since its launch on Oct. 17, 2005. Bennett previously served as line producer, with Dahm and Silverman as supervising producers. Dahm and Silverman double as the show's head writers.

"Allison, Rich and Meredith are incredibly gifted, hardworking producers who truly deserve these promotions," host Stephen Colbert said. "They also deserve to go home occasionally, but that's not going to happen."

The show is executive produced by Colbert, who also serves as writer, and Stewart.

Bennett's production credits include such shows as VH1's Storytellers, ABC's The Bachelorette, NBC Universal's The Jane Pauley Show and Food Network's Lisa and Dweezil Show. She also was a production manager on Warner Bros.' The Rosie O'Donnell Show.

Dahm was a writer for HBO's Dennis Miller Live and Da Ali G Show. He spent nine years as a writer and managing editor of the Onion, the satirical weekly newspaper/Web site, and is a co-author of the Onion Ad Nauseam book series.
