Death Bed: The Bed That Eats (1977)

Quotes

Death Bed: The Bed That Eats

Edit
  • Gangster: I'm being eaten alive!
  • Voice of the Artist: A demon residing in a tree, on a whim changed himself into a breeze. While in this state he drifted, one morning, by a young maiden. He circled around and back, surrounding her in his form. Gently he blew through her hair, her mind and her dreams. For her seduction, he decided to create a bed, unique for the occasion.
  • Diane: Where have you been? We've been looking all over for you.
  • Suzan: I've just been here, reading by the fire like I said I would.
  • Diane: What have you been reading that we couldn't find you?
  • Suzan: A book of dead people. I'm in it, and you are too.
  • [first lines]
  • Voice of the Artist: I've been imprisoned behind my painting in this limbo for 60 years now since my death. I think half that time I've spent in listening to that monster snore.
  • [gates creaks, crashes open]
  • Voice of the Artist: Someone's coming! My god it's waking up!
  • [looking for the house]
  • Diane: This is where it should be.
  • Sharon: What's that smell?
  • Diane: Smells like something dead...
  • Voice of the Artist: You gaze at me as a painting on the wall, and I see you as a serving upon some monstrous silver platter.
  • Sharon's Brother: [looking at his skeleton hands] There's no flesh left. There's hardly any blood. It's almost like a surgical operation.
  • Voice of the Artist: The gifts you give to me, the rings and other jewelry of the victims you've gobbled up before my eyes... one of these rings may contain the answer.
  • Mayor: [after newspaper headline 'Mayor Demands Action'] Action, action! We need action!
