Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson, Eddie Griffin, and Eva Mendes in The Wendell Baker Story (2005)

Trivia

The Wendell Baker Story

Edit
According to Luke Wilson, producers were able to raise money from investors by claiming that he was his brother Owen Wilson.
Luke Wilson hired his mother, a professional photographer, to take stills on the set. When Mrs. Wilson saw that photographer Mark Seliger was also taking stills, she demanded that Seliger be fired. Instead, Luke fired his mother. According to Luke, the crew was unhappy about this, and brother Andrew Wilson rehired Mrs. Wilson.
Wendall Baker's (Luke Wilson's) dog, Junior, is played by Brother, Luke's dog. On the DVD commentary, Wilson claims that no one thought Brother was up to the part, but that he always believed Brother could do it.
Neal King's (Owen Wilson's) mother's house is said to be nine miles due south of Durant, which would put it in Achille, Oklahoma.
When Wendell first arrives to Shady Grove and is adjusting the radio, the static that is heard is the same static from the beginning of the song "Hip Hop" by Dead Prez.
