A peerless masterpiece of the no-budget, Doric, martial arts genre. A tour-de-force, delivering a sparkling debut by newcomer Euan McKenzie, in the role of Gladmir. He brings life to the role - one that could so easily been played as a two-dimensional dial-in - so much so that his sterling performance is quite literally the wind beneath the wings of this movie.
A stunning Louise McKenzie performance brings a fragile and sympathetic edge to her character as Prostitute #1. A heart of gold? Absolutely, but so much more! Definitely one to watch for the future and I have no doubt she will share the stage with - and outshine - many, better-established actors in the future.
Watching this film the whole way through requires almost lethal levels of alcohol, but it is a truly unforgettable experience.
