Lady Gaga is set to release her highly anticipated eighth studio album, Mayhem, this Friday (March 7th). The pop superstar says the new LP is inspired by ’90s music like Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead, among other acts. In fact, in a new interview with Consequence, she noted that the record has “’90s grunge influence, 2000s pop influence, funk influence, ’80s influence.”

While introducing the Nin song “Closer” on her new pop-up SiriusXM channel “Gaga Radio,” the singer talked about discovering “heavier and intense” music: “When I heard Johnny Cash do [Nine Inch Nails’] ‘Hurt,’ I realized that so many different kinds of music could find their way into these sorts of sounds.”

The finalists for the Independent Games Festival have been announced, and one title emerged as a key contender with five nominations. The titles include games from independent and solo developers worldwide who might otherwise be overlooked by the gaming community in favor of larger-profile games. The quarter-finals of the mystery celebrity singing competition aired on Wednesday night (December 4) on Fox.

The show, which began in South Korea, features celebrities singing songs while wearing costumes and face masks concealing their identities until they’re eliminated. Throughout the season, the contestants provide clues to try and help the judges and fans figure out who is under the mask.

This season also features Ambassadors, who are all alums of the series, that have a special connection to each singer and will be providing major new clues about their friends’ identities.

During the episode, the Top Four – Wasp, Goo, Strawberry Shortcake, and Buffaloes – hit the stage for their quarter-finals performances.

Oscar nominee Clive Owen is set to play a police office in Germany on the brink of WWII in historical thriller “Kristallnacht.”

The feature — being launched at the American Film Market by International Film Trust — comes from Oscar-winning filmmaker Stefan Ruzowitzky, who will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Julius Grützke, based on an original script by Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann.

“Kristallnacht” was announced by Michael Benaroya, the CEO of Benaroya Pictures and co-founder of International Film Trust, who will serve as producer alongside Danny Krausz, Marcelo Gandola and Daniel Zuta.

Based on a true story, “Kristallnacht” is set in Berlin on the eve of war and follows police lieutenant Wilhelm Krützfeld (Owen) over the course of 24 hours as he navigates a city turned into a powder keg. Fans holding out hope for a beloved vet’s return apparently won’t be getting their wish. Leslie Charleson, who began playing Monica Quartermaine in 1977 and made her last appearance on the soap in 2023, likely won’t be making anymore, according to Closer magazine. A source close to the actress explained that due to health issues, it’s become increasingly difficult for Charleson “to get around,” and “although she’d be welcome back to the show with open arms, it’s unlikely she’ll ever return.”

Seth Meyers’ post-debate “A Closer Look” primetime special drew in a 73% bigger audience than his 2020 entry, TheWrap can exclusively reveal.

The hourlong election special, which aired on Wednesday, Sept. 11 — the day after the first debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump — drew 2.6 million viewers as it aired from 10-11 p.m. Et on NBC, according to Nielsen live-plus-same-day figures.

That’s up 73% from Meyers’ 2020 election special, which aired a half-hour segment in October 2020. The 2024 “A Closer Look” episode also saw an uptick in the key broadcast demo among adults 18-49 when compared to four years ago.

The special has been viewed on YouTube over 2 million times, and it’s drawn in more than 5.5 million viewers across social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter).
