The title "Srabon Megher Din" means simply "a day in a rainy season". I have watched the movie in theater about 10/11 years ago when I was a college student. The movie can be called a love story where Meher Afroz Shaon fall in love with Zahid Hasan. Another character Mahfuz Ahmed also loves that girl who was brought to their village by her father. Shaon is a village girl who is a little bit moody in type. She loves Zahid but try to hide it sometimes. The story proceeds on. Zahid is a musician. Visitors from the town; specially the doctor lady and her younger sister likes Zahid a lot. But their grandfather did not like it. In this movie a viewer will find the serenity of the villages in Bangladesh, simplicity of the village people, their hospitality to the guests, love, affection. The movie gives us the chance to share some events of the great Liberation War in 1971. The story of the movie is based on the novel with the same title by Humayun Ahmed. Humayun Ahmed is a good script writer as well as director. The performance of the characters in the movie was really up to the mark. If you watch the movie and be able to catch and understand Bangali sentiment you must enjoy it.

First of all, I want to say that I always judge each and every inch of a movie after rating a movie and if the movie rated 5 or 6 you can trust this will be a good movie. If the Rating is 7 or 8 the movie will be fantastic. I saw the movie at least 3 times and after saying all the time I said that, "It is a fantastic movie".

The story is very simple. The direction and acting were good but not great. There were no outstanding technical aspects or superb production performance. But the songs, locations, and approach of the storytelling were simply outstanding. It could not be better than this.

I enjoyed all the songs and till today I am enjoying all the songs. They are evergreen. The placement of these songs and their picturization were perfectly done. I enjoyed all of the moments of "Ore Vabijaan" and "Ekta Chilo Sonar Konna" song. Marvelous!!!The location makes me nostalgic about my childhood and they seemed very realistic and very relevant to the story. Hats off!!!!!

Again I am telling the story, direction and acting were not so great because they were very typical and you all see a thousand story like this but believe me this is a great one and you will not regret by seeing this movie.

The title may sound little bit exaggerating but if anyone has any doubt please watch this movie..After watching it if you feel again exaggerating please watch it one more time..Anyone who has true knowledge of Bangla culture and heritage than surely they would admit this is the Best movie ever made...This movie tells about humanity..It tells struggle of human mind..A little sparkle of Bangladeshi liberation war which is enough to realize the horror of war..This movie breaks many kind of prejudice and pride of rulers and shows the power of common people..Maybe not in the traditional way but somehow it manage to show how common people or anyone should be treated and how horrible was our system to rule....Yes I am talking about a triangle love story..A simple low budget bangla movie which is portraying all of this together in a very efficient way..Hat's off to the creator of this movie...Please watch it...If you don't enjoy or feel like I just wasted your time then you are not a true movie lover...
