Hallmark Channel may want to consider a nickname like Ali’s Place: Alison Sweeney is about to celebrate her 30th movie for the media company.

This Time Each Year will premiere October 24 as part of the kick off for Hallmark Mystery’s Miracles of Christmas programming event. Sweeney plays Lauren, who was once in love with Kevin (Niall Matter) but nearly a year after their separation, they now focus on co-parenting their young son Charlie (Ezra Wilson). Despite the split, Kevin is determined to make their family whole again.

A special first look of the film will debut during Sweeney’s 10th Hannah Swensen movie franchise installment, A Sprinkle of Deceit: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, that’s premiering October 4 on Hallmark Mystery.

“I couldn’t script this better, to reveal a first look at my 30th Hallmark movie during the 10th installment of Hannah Swensen is really special,” said Sweeney in a statement.

Before General Hospital‘s Rick Hearst ever starred in a daytime soap, he kicked off his career as the lead in a horror movie. Yes, before he was Scotty Banning on Days of Our Lives and Alan-Michael Spaulding on Guiding Light, he was Brian in a horror flick called Brain Damage. Brian and Brain — you see what they did there? Anyway, the movie was about a young man who wakes up to find that he has a disgusting little creature attached to his brain stem. Yikes.

The 1988 film served as Hearst’s debut acting role. And last weekend, the Emmy-winning actor appeared at a horror convention in Houston, Texas, where he celebrated the cult classic about a talking parasite with fans. There have been many onscreen Top Chef controversies, like when a chef was accused of stealing someone else's food and serving it. Unfortunately, something that many fans don't know is that there have also been several behind-the-scenes scandals.

For example, Padma Lakshmi claimed she was harassed on set and one competitor claimed the show's locations disadvantage some chefs. According to a competitor from the Top Chef: Just Desserts spin-off, the show's producers also have a history of being cruel to the chefs.

Top Chef spin-off Just Desserts is heading to Thailand alongside a second season of World of Dance after NBCUniversal closed a pair of deals. The Hollywood studio’s international formats division has signed a deal for the shows with The One Enterprise. It will produce an 11-part series of Just Desserts for its One31 channel that will see pastry chefs flex their professional skills and go head to head in a series of challenges. Grindhouse Releasing is bringing Lucio Fulci’s insane Cat in the Brain to Blu-ray, and the recent indie thriller Road Games is getting a release on July 12th as well, courtesy of Scream Factory. One of my personal favorites from 2016, Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room arrives on both formats this Tuesday via Lionsgate, and Synapse Films is releasing the recent Creepshow documentary Just Desserts.

Core Media Group has hired Tim Sullivan as Svp, Development and Production. He will work on developing and producing unscripted shows, reporting to Core’s Head of U.S. Television Jen O’Connell. Sullivan most recently worked at Zodiak USA, where he served as Svp, Head of Development overseeing the creative efforts of the independent production company’s U.S. arm. Before that, Sullivan was a producer on Top Chef Just Desserts and a Director of Development at Magical Elves. Sullivan joins Core’s growing unscripted roster, which also includes Sharp Entertainment (Extreme Couponing, Doomsday Preppers), which Core acquired, and Rhett Bachner and Brien Meagher’s B17, in which the company has an ownership stake.

While these were the worst boy names, former Top Chef Just Desserts contestant Tania Peterson and her husband Phil had the distinction of choosing the worst girl's name with her choice of Zuzu Audrey for their daughter.

More than 10,000 people voted on the poll carried out by website BabyNames.com.

The best celebrity girl's name was Willow Sage Hart, the daughter of singer Pink and motocross star Carey Hart.

The best celebrity boy's name was Mason Evan Smith, son.

It’s been a little over a year since San Francisco resident Yigit Pura won the first season of Bravo reality competition series, Top Chef: Just Desserts and was also voted fan favorite by the viewers. Since that television exposure Pura has been wearing many hats. While holding down his day job as Executive Pastry Chef with Taste Catering & Event Planning, he also signed on as a Bravo website blogger when the second season of Just Desserts aired in late summer. Plus, he appeared regularly at Lgbt-related benefits and fundraisers, and he's starred in a series of Cooking Channel videos with fellow gay pastry chef Zac Young.

Now, thankfully for us, he is shedding his shirt and being doused in rainbow sprinkles for a 2012 calendar benefiting Meals On Wheels.

From TV pastry chef to child pornographer?

Reality TV has had its fair share of villains, but when the bad behavior happens off camera, it's still a bit of a shock -- especially in the case of 'Top Chef Just Desserts' Season 1 finalist Morgan Wilson, who was indicted on three second-degree felony charges of possession with the intent to promote child pornography.

Wilson, 38, was arrested on Dec. 7, 2010 -- less than a month after the 'Just Desserts' finale episode aired -- when undercover investigators received file transfers from him via Limewire on his computer in September 2010. The file transfers allegedly contained images and videos of children as young as toddlers engaged in sexual acts, according to Pegasus News.
