Eladio Carrión Pulls Out All the Stops at Barclays Center
Image
Puerto Rican rapper Eladio Carrión wasn’t holding back during last night’s stop of his Don Kbrn tour at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. While it isn’t the first time the rapper has performed in New York City, this was his first official arena show in the city — and he wanted it to be bigger than ever.

Rising act Danny Towers warmed the crowd up with a medley of songs from his latest album Sinners Club which includes collaborations with Carrión on the tracks “Crush” and “Asap.” Soon, Carrión...

Jacob Elordi Isn’t Grateful For Netflix Fame, He’s Dragging It for Frankenstein
Image
Jacob Elordi, who found worldwide fame for starring in the Kissing Booth franchise (thanks to Netflix), isn’t fond of the streaming company anymore. He seems to be only using Netflix for the release of his and Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming movie, Frankenstein.

During his talks with Variety, Elordi revealed that Frankenstein was getting a three-week theatrical release. However, it was a sad affair for the star, who felt that “films like these” should be given the proper theatrical experience that they deserve and not the comforts of streaming at home.

It’s heartbreaking that films like these don’t have full cinematic releases. My great hope is that...

A24 Drops Epic New Trailer for Denzel Washington's New Thriller Remake
Image
Acting legend Denzel Washington goes from the Highest 2 Lowest in the anticipated titular crime thriller. The upcoming A24 reimagination of a Japanese classic drops its latest trailer, with Washington front and center.

A24 released the latest Highest 2 Lowest trailer on Aug. 4, spotlighting Washington's central character, David King, a high-ranking music executive regarded as the "best ears in the business." King initially claims that "there's more to life than just making money. There's integrity, there's what you stand for." However, King's associate, Paul Christopher (Jeffrey Wright) suggests that "you gotta be a little crazy sometimes in this world to get what you want."

Things get crazy when King gets threatened by a mystery kidnapper who's taken his son and demands a hefty payday in exchange for returning him home. The kidnapper drives a hard bargain with King, warning him that "you're not God no more...I am," and that "you got blood on your hands,...

'I Think This Is It': Spike Lee on Why He Might Be Finished Working With Denzel Washington After 5 Films
Image
A24's upcoming action thriller, Highest 2 Lowest, represents the fifth collaboration between Oscar winners Spike Lee and Denzel Washington throughout their distinguished careers. Though their joint efforts have been critically acclaimed, and their newest movie is already garnering praise, Lee suggests their time as creative partners could be over.

During an interview with Deadline, Lee admitted he didn't realize so much time had elapsed between him and Washington's last collaboration, Inside Man, and Highest 2 Lowest. The decorated filmmaker also conceded that, considering the stage of their careers and Washington's recent quips about retirement, Highest 2 Lowest is probably their last movie together. "Denzel and I didn’t know that our previous film, Inside Man, was 18 years ago. We were surprised because it felt like yesterday. But we didn’t miss a step," Lee said. "I think this is it—five. He’s been talking about retirement even...

Denzel Washington As Race-Swapped Magneto Rumor Reportedly True, Racist Backlash Has Already Begun
Image
One rumor is gaining serious traction (and backlash): Denzel Washington is stepping into the role of Magneto. According to recent reports, the legendary actor is confirmed to play a race-swapped version of the iconic X-Men villain. While many fans are hyped to see what Washington brings to the table, not everyone’s on board.

The announcement has sparked waves of racist outrage online, proving once again how deep-rooted bias runs in fandom spaces. As Marvel continues pushing for more inclusive casting, this move could reshape the MCU and challenge some uncomfortable truths along the way.
